They climbed so high that some had to stop, and wait for the rest back at the vegetation line. The gasses so cloudy, their vision impaired, they climbed on, ever higher. Many were left to retreat downward, but as they neared the lip of the volcano, they peered across vast expanses of ocean, and saw the setting sunlight burning red through the sky. The intrepid travelers lit their torches from the fire of the volcano, and guarded their fires all the way down, bringing joy and relief to their shipmates, for you see, they ran out of matches 18 days ago. And thus heroes were born, to be raised up above their fellow man as examples, proud members of British Columbian Citizenry. Their bravery and gallance (but most certainly not their stupidity in giving Pvt .
