27 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: For role-playing should I only use French on global? |
27 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: Yes, but Quebecois French. And poutine for everyone. You should read everything I say with a NY accent. |
27 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: But do New Yorkers have a written language? |
27 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: Yeah, but I don't want to insult anyone ;) Not yet anyway! |
27 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: LOL. I guess its time to hit the waves for me. |
27 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: Actually, as Florida I should be careful what I say about NY'ers since half of them live here too....I might lose the next election. |
27 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: Ah, I don't know Quebecois French, I tried in the past but it is too different from what I'm used to speaking in colloquial language. Poutine however, we shall be open to Damming the channel to the great lakes so that they can be filled with it, so that the lands can have all the poutine they desire for eternity. |
27 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: For some reason I'm feeling hungry, and wondering what our southern friends have to offer. |
27 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: Haha, they should expand the Florida empire into GA and then turn one of the other Florida SCs into a NY SC, like Gibralter on the other map. |
27 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: And Mexico would need a center in California as well. |
28 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: I'd take an SC in Florida. Or New York for that matter. |
28 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: I wonder how a player with four SCs on the corners of the map would do... probably lose half and gain a minor foothold with one, with one which is providing support to a friendly power (for the time) as a best case for the early game. |
28 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: Although as far as builds go that would be an extremely powerful position. |
28 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: Anyone hear anything from Texas or Mexico? |
28 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: Neither. |
28 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: There's still 8 hours left, so maybe they'll jump in. Too many games recently ruined by NMRs. Maybe if they haven't shown up with a couple of hours left we can have a mod pause the game in hopes of salvaging it before it gets ruined? |
28 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: I'm not opposed to a pause. Texas and Mexico are fairly important players. If neither of them can start first season the game won't evolve the way it was intended to. |
28 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: I sent an email to the mods. If they pause it, we can unpause once everyone is here. |
29 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: (goldfinger0303): Hello everyone. I've been asked to pause this game until Mexico and Texas are gotten hold of. If more people than just Cuba and New York are okay with this, then I'll go ahead and do it. Please, voice your yeas and nays here. |
29 Jun 13 UTC | Spring, 1999: I'm okay with it, but I don't want it to be permenant. |
