11 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1901: I un-readied because I am about to be unavailable for the rest of the phase. Sorry.
11 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1901: No problems here. I always assume every phase will go the full time.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: I'm going out of the country in a couple of days so I'm ready to be out of this game anyway. I'll be moving to Bohemia and Apulia, so if you want me out sooner than later don't block me :-)
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: wow, that's a jackass move
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Sorry, I figured it was that or ask everyone to pause the game so a 2 SC Austria can be gone for a week, or take a CD. I haven't CD'd yet and I'd like to not start.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Obviously I'm not the best one to comment as I stand to gain from it, but I definitely see Austria's point. He really is a non-factor at this point, and he's trying to get out of the game soon rather than delay it unnecessarily.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: I also thought about asking everyone to ready up, but many people consider that to be a jackass move as well.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: I actually fall into that camp. You never know who might still be negotiating (or at least trying to) and calling someone out for not readying-up is a great way to kill the spirit of the game in my opinion. :)
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: I'm a "hurry up and play already" kind of guy by nature, but I try to respect people who like to take their good sweet time. I usually don't play 36 hour games for that reason. But this has been a fun one; I've just been getting into passworded games and everything people say about the higher quality of play has been true.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Yeah. I'm definitely up for another one with the same players here after this one ends...I'd set one up or join one, either way. I'm in a couple of non-passworded, full-press anon games, and for some reason the people in those game just aren't talking...kind of defeats the point in my opinion.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: That's my point, you stain to gain from it, while I stand to get hosed by it. Even more so because the phase before he chose to retreat into my SC to take it from me, and then now is just going to give all his SCs up.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: I think Austria was complementing the higher quality of play in this one. It has been very interesting.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: And I do not think Austria is voluntarily "giving up his SCs"
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: That being said, I still did enjoy this game and would be willing to play with y'all again.

And I don't understand by people in full-press games don't talk. Makes no sense to me.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Going "I need to quit this game, so I'm going to abandon my SCs and move to non-SC countries around them" is giving up SCs. How else would you explain it?

Unless of course, Austria is just saying that. In that case, that would be an awesome tactic actually.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: I want to also say I'd be glad to play with this group again.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Absolutely.
30 May 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: We'll probably have to contact Russia once the game's over and his ID is revealed.
30 May 13 UTC Spring, 1906: Having reflected on my announcement of leaving town, I admit that it was in poor taste. My apologies to Italy especially, but to everyone else as well.

I'd be happy to play again when I return on June 11.
31 May 13 UTC Spring, 1906: OK ... I read the last bit and noticed that I missed something critical above. I apologize to Italy about my remarks ... Austria WAS voluntarily giving up his remaining SC's and I screwed it up by getting clever with the move to APU.

So I guess I owe everyone an apology as we wait for the clock to tick now that most of the diplomacy is done. "Sorry".
31 May 13 UTC Spring, 1906: This is what happens on an iPhone that does not allow scrolling to earlier messages. I never realized there would be so much public press.
31 May 13 UTC Spring, 1906: By the way, Austria, I travel a lot too, and they have this interesting thing outside the US called the internet .. it helps me keep up.
31 May 13 UTC Spring, 1906: Ha. No worries. We've all done and said stupid stuff before. Well, at least I have anyway.
31 May 13 UTC Spring, 1906: I remain offended by all of you!
31 May 13 UTC Spring, 1906: England, do you demand justice?
31 May 13 UTC Spring, 1906: I would like a little justice. Not sure whether I can count on England to help mete it out or not.
01 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: If folks are up for it I'd be interested in an EoG after this one is done (I can't remember if that's been mentioned or not by somebody in this game yet).
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: I can see my doom! DOOM!!!!
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: It looks very dark and scary!
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: :)

On that note, I'll create another private game and post the ID and pw here...it sounded like everyone was keen on joining. Does anyone have any requirements on the max number of points they would like to bet? My inclination is to just do 25 again, but if anyone doesn't have that many to throw around, I can make it lower.
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: that works for me. Though I'd suggest that you name the game something more accurate, like Ol' Unfaithful, to properly represent the actions of my "allies" in this game.
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: That is fine with me.
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: And actually the name change is fine with me, too, a fun sequel.
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: All right, then:
gameID=119925
PW: liars
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: I think I can join ... bunch of gunboats going now too. I will definitely do an EOG on this one.
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: that was just rude!
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: but was still a fun game
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: I accept your draw proposal, Germany!!! :)
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: We need to finish the build phase for the three-way. (Sorry, Italy).
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: there's always hope someone might click "Draw" before "Ready" :D
03 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: I would try it if I were you. :) But not since I am me.
04 Jun 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: can't fault me for trying, can you?
04 Jun 13 UTC Good game folks.
04 Jun 13 UTC Agreed...good game. It's easy to say that when you've made it to the end, but I think this was a great group to play with.
04 Jun 13 UTC Are we going to try to do EOG posts here, or should we put them on the forum? Maybe the forum where others could comment as well?
