24 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [Oz]:Hail and welcome from the land of Kangaroos and Koalas. Open to communicationos!
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [Frozen-Antarctica]:Hello! Greetings from the land of ice and snow! And Yetis!!!!!! I am also open to communications and would be willing to work together with you, or at least have a non-aggression pact between us. I propose we start by me focusing on Antarctica and you on the areas around Australia. South Africa is going to be an issue probably for both of us, and if we're not fighting each other, we focus on holding SA off. How does that sound to you?
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [Frozen-Antarctica]:well, I'm a moron! Since the cat's out of the bag, bring it on South Africa!
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [India]:Yeah! Bring it, South Africa!
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [Frozen-Antarctica]:I have a feeling that this is either going to be the best game of world dip I've played, or the quickest!
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [Pacific-Russia]:LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [Frozen-Antarctica]:Actually, I'm trying a new version of this game I'm dubbing "Open Diplomacy" where I'm just going to tell the world what my plans are and they can just try and stop me!
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [Pacific-Russia]:Balls to the wall!
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [India]:I like it. Although, it's not exactly a "new version", when webdip already has games where there's only public messaging.
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [South-Africa]:I had no intentions of taking the frozen path, I prefer warmer weather, but I am not one to back down from a challenge. I hope you are ready to eat some yellow snow my frozen Yeti pets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [India]:BAM!
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [China]:I will attack everyone and no one, but particularly everyone named no one.
25 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2000: [Frozen-Antarctica]:That is true, India, but in those games, people don't broadcast their moves!
26 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Libya]:... I really wish people understood it is just plain dirty, not to mention unsporting, to betray someone as early as the first year. I will admit I didn't see it coming so you are indeed subtle Europe, but that doesn't change the fact that you can't be trusted any farther than you can be thrown. (which I assume is not far...) Diplomacy is about more than stabbing people in the back. If you stab early, and somehow maintain the momentum of surprise (which you generally can't) you still lose credibility with everyone around you who will no longer trust you. If you are willing to stab me, a now former ally, this quickly then why not someone else? Now I am just ranting so there's some food for thought...
26 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Libya]:Judging on the board moves I would say Oz just walked into Frozen's moves, and I can't really tell if it's betrayal or just bad planning, but if betrayal is the case then Oz I know how you feel right now. However, in Frozen's defense he really had nowhere else to go, so you had to of seen that coming... Maybe the same applies to me, but I would argue that point.
26 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Oz]:That is very insightful. Thank you for the analysis of both the situation and the psycholgy of the average dip player. I feel enlightened.
26 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Libya]:Ha ha, your welcome... and your sarcasm is noted.
26 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Quebec]:Striking everobodys back at the beginning is the best way to play
28 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 2002: [Russia]:i apologize to everyone russia has attacked so far...i just joined so yea
29 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2002: [Western-Canada]:Man supports MW to Ontario. I expect it to be cut.
29 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2002: [India]:Thanks for sharing.
29 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2002: [Europe]:India, let's cut that support, just for fun. I have some ICBMs and you have the warheads.
29 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2002: [India]:Special delivery.
29 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2002: [China]:You can use my high speed rail technology to deliver those... Wait
29 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2002: [China]:*oh wait
29 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 2002: [Frozen-Antarctica]:Haha! At least I'm not the only one to make that mistake this game!
02 Feb 13 UTC Spring, 2004: [Western-Canada]:I had pc issues, and have been unable to acess the net for DAYS. I will try to play with no interruptions..
12 Feb 13 UTC Autumn, 2008: [India]:New leadership in India...voting draw. If you want my cooperation, vote draw. Those of you not voting draw will be considered enemies.
12 Feb 13 UTC Autumn, 2008: [India]:BTW, what happened to the previous India?
13 Feb 13 UTC Spring, 2009: [Frozen-Antarctica]:No clue what happened to him. He just disappeared.
14 Feb 13 UTC Spring, 2010: [India]:Ghana and Europe, notice that the others are voting draw. I think some very solid stalemate lines are starting to form and your potential gains will be limited. The 62 points you will get for your 15 point entry fee is a respectful return on investment. Please vote draw.
17 Feb 13 UTC [Europe]:Thanks for a great game. Definitely one of the most fun and interesting I've played. Best wishes to you all! I vote draw.
17 Feb 13 UTC [India]:Thanks for letting me join "Operation Hokey Pokey" and share in the draw.
