08 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1901: Welcome, and good game all.
12 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Looks like we're going to have a NMR... Lame.
Nothing worse than people messing up a game by failing to put in orders.
12 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1902: ... At least he is consistent. Resigning in two of three games.
12 Dec 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: Looks like we're going to have a, how do they say, homosexual... Lame.
Nothing worse than a dude taking it from a man.
12 Dec 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: Zing! Got me good. Inconsistent and a bigot.
13 Dec 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: wah :)
19 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1904: GameMaster: Mrrathalos was banned: multi. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player.
Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily!
20 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1904: Thanks... What a drag. A multi and an idiot in the same game.
22 Dec 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: whats been the holdup here, why have we waited
23 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1905: i've been the slowdown ... very busy at work and taking advantage of the entire turn length for the end of the week. i should have more time this weekend and will finalize when i've got my moves down. thanks for the patience, all.
25 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1906: Merry Christmas All!
25 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1906: Merry Christmas!
25 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1906: Merry Christmas!
25 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1906: Yes, merry Christmas, everybody.
26 Dec 12 UTC Autumn, 1906: hey now, don't be too hard on yourself germany, you don't have to be an idiot if you dont want to :) spread some Christmas cheer :D
26 Dec 12 UTC Autumn, 1906: Now that's the Christmas spirit! Thanks for the words of encouragement... they mean a lot to me, coming from you.
By the way, I love the emoticons! Hilarious!
06 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1909: It's official: France is a complete idiot. Thanks for ruining this game by ignoring Italy's runaway victory and helping weaken the only players interested in not losing. You appear to completely misunderstand the point if this game. That might explain why you have lost or 'survived' (I.e. lost) almost 90% of your games. Learn how to play and don't fuck it up for the rest of us next time.
08 Jan 13 UTC France has left the game, I wonder why! France had a non-aggression with Italy which lasted through the war, this happens a lot.
08 Jan 13 UTC I think you also misunderstand... France should have attacked you as soon as it was clear you might go for a solo victory. There is no honor in supporting someone else to win when you could stop them easily, and he could have destroyed your back line. It's pretty simple: try to win; failing that, try to draw with as few people as possible. That 's it. He failed because he helped you win rather than force a draw. He quit as well, which is probably the most annoying thing one could do in this game. Help someone else solo, then quit. Some people.
08 Jan 13 UTC Italy supported France a bit in the early stages if one looks back, therefore France probably felt it would have been not the right thing to do in attacking a non-aggressor.
However I do agree in some of your points, I am fairly new to online diplomacy, I do take on board what you say, and yes its very annoying for a nation to quit, it would make the wars much more satisfying and rewarding for all if all nations fought to the bitter end.
08 Jan 13 UTC I have yet to understand why one would go for a draw, only scenario when there is obviously a stale-mate, I guess it does make a difference to the points tally, haven't worked that out yet, sorry guys maybe this should talked about in the forum, haven't been there yet.
08 Jan 13 UTC One typically gets no points for a draw or a 'survive.' Normally all points go to the winner. So one should always go for a win, but if he or she knows a victory is not possible, to get into a draw with as few other people as possible.
08 Jan 13 UTC In this case we'll get points because the scoring is points-per-supply center. But winner-takes-all is more typical.
08 Jan 13 UTC I had a feeling there might be different permitations
08 Jan 13 UTC Makes sense
08 Jan 13 UTC There are also many on this site who follow Ghost Ratings, a parallel rating system that gauges the success of a player based on the quality of opponents and game result. In that rating system, it is scored always as winner-take-all, so people play like it is even when it is not - and in my opinion, should.
Anyway, good game. Disappointed in the result but I knew it was bad when Turkey was banned and France refused to change his course.
