06 Nov 12 UTC Spring, 1901: Good luck everyone.
06 Nov 12 UTC Spring, 1901: "Hey, guys, let's make this peaceful and all draw on the first turn" ~ nobody, ever.
06 Nov 12 UTC Spring, 1901: I'm in. Isn't peace the real aim of Diplomacy?
06 Nov 12 UTC Spring, 1901: I'm voting for everything in Diplomacy because in reality I have been disenfranchised. Best of luck to everyone.
07 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: Wait, so what happens with Italy?
07 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: Well, maybe my votes are more reasonable in the light of an inactive Italy. It distorts the game when countries don't play, either positively, as for the neighbors of the noncombatant country, or negatively, as for the more distant nations. And with anonymity we do not even know who missed the phase. As for what happens, italian troops will simply hold every turn. And at length it will cause the Italian player to resign from the game, changing Italy's status from "Missed the last phase" to "Left", and other players (not those already in this game) are given the chance to take over control of the vacant country for a fee of diplomacy points. However, with a password protected game such as ours, this should not be possible, and therefore each phase will simply last the full 24 hours I believe.
07 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: Hey Nate, would you send out a message and figure out who it is? Maybe we can get him back in the game. This is really disappointing.
07 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: We probably shouldn't global chat talking about other people's names: it seems that Germany is not Nate.
07 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: I'm Italy and I forgot to play... I am moving now
07 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: I'm Italy and I forgot to play... I am moving now
08 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: Oops. Will not happen again. Sorry.
08 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: No problem, no need to be sorry, it's just better to remain unknown.
08 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: Is Austria going to miss this phase? Even as Italy enters the game?
08 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: Hey Guys its cool I just think Constantinople is spelled Syria
09 Nov 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Well, Austria left...
11 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: Well, this sucks. I put in the wrong orders, Itay and Austria are gone, Turkey and Russia didn't move basicly at all. I'm calling for the end of this game. Two countres down, a poor showing by three others, and only two doing anythg right at all, and to clarify, neither of those two are me. I just dont think this soul continue. Only one non hold order east of Heligoland Bight? Absurd.
11 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: My laptop keyboard is not picking up every keystroke lately. I hope you can all still understand my message and vote to cancel.
11 Nov 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: Actually, looking at the expanded image of the last phase, Russia had three orders in. Fleet Rumania MOVE to Black Sea. Army Galicia SUPPORT HOLD Fleet Rumania, Army Ukraine SUPPORT HOLD Fleet Rumania. Which is really no better than only one order. And I'm sorry Russia for putting bad orders into the global spotlight, but when we all vote to cancel it will all go away, so no hard feelings?
12 Nov 12 UTC Vote to cancel. Anyone else want to back me up? In words? I appreciate the vote by Germany and Frnc, but if wecould maybe contact Italy and Turkey? If Russia just doesn't move he won't need to vote.
12 Nov 12 UTC Now now France and Italy, lets not bicker and argue aout who should vote for whom.
13 Nov 12 UTC Well, that didn't work...
13 Nov 12 UTC No, it did not. Oh well. I am sorry to say that even I made an outright mistake this game, flat out not the orders I intended. It would seem that it just wasn't in the cards this time for a good game: best of luck to everyone in their future Diplomatic endeavors.
