Game drawn
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Quebec]:Near-East, draw doesn't work that way. It means the points will be distributed equally between all surviving nations, meaning everyone will get back their original 10 points. What you described only happens when someone wins the game and the surviving players get points based on the number of their SC-s. Unless it's a winner takes it all game. :D
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [China]:quebec is right.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:If no one's points will be affected, then I don't have a complaint.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Quebec]:The word has been put out. Now we wait.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Brazil]:Don't begin again, please!!! Just look at Argentina and me, men! Your accusation is nonsense... I'm totally fed up with some people, who always wants to cancel the game, just because I know some of the players in real life...
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Quebec]:The truth is, Brazil is right in the sense that he is in a bad position. :) But Brazil, you might be better off drawing, actually.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:So Brazil, you do this sort of thing regularly?
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [China]:brazil i have already pointed out you argentina usa and quebec played well and strategically. the main issue is your people in the eurasian area
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Brazil]:Yes, when we aren't enough for a private game, but I don't think that this would be metagaming. First look at the map before throwing stones at me...!
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Brazil]:China: Ok, you're maybe right. But Near East thinks that we're all cheaters...
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [China]:you are telling me libya india russia europe and pac rus allying and knowing each other isnt meta gaming?
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Brazil]:Okay, but their business isn't my business...
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:You know, I really don't think you're all cheaters. Like I said, Quebec played quite well. But I hope you understand my concerns when I enter a game and find out that ten of the people playing know each other in real life. Particularly when they're apparently cooperating in Eurasia.

And you know, I wouldn't even normally mind you speaking Hungarian to each other when you know full well that no one else on the board can understand it. That's just a nice diplomatic advantage. But when I run your posts through a Hungarian to English translator and see you talking about the "Other Fraud", I get nervous.

"Brazil: Okay that is for me not Deedee!" shouted, but it is no longer, for he was already a little tired the other fraud was charged with us before we ..."

Quebec: "Loránd, not you, I suppose! What is the Nessie we played fairly with in America, but all three are right that & Middle East , India and China had"

Would you like to explain what was meant in either of these? The translation is horrible.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:Quebec: Loránd, I didn't see the other game, I don't know what happened there. There have been a lot of things here, that if you were suffering from some people (it is not the or, say, would feel like. They simply couldn't be connected associations around you

I think that's a very reasonable point. If you were in our shoes you'd be having the same problems.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:Brazil: Ok, obviously they haven't done that, but it was a kick in it is not the first time is that they want to stop this game when I haven't b *** tam nothing ...

I'm glad you haven't done a thing wrong. But Quebec seems to have concerns about he middle east area and we all have concerns about Eurasia. We don't dislike you, we just don't want to play under these circumstances. I hope you understand.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Quebec]::D :D Never mind the translator, it says some interesting things, but sometimes it is right. The main thing is that Brazil explained to me why he is unhappy and I was trying to explain to him why we should draw. That's all that concerns us.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Quebec]:Btw Near-east, how did you know the language was Hungarian? :)
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:I have a fondness for language. The dialect looked Balkan to me but I doubted it was actually Balkan. I tried translating in Ukranian first and that got me nowhere. So I tried Hungarian next.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Brazil]:That translator isn't right... :D I've told in Hungarian the following: "Didi, ok that this isn't about me, but I've got bored that they're accused us as cheaters in the other game also, before anything we have done"

I would add that I neither have cheated in that other game...
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Quebec]:You know Near-East that's actually quite interesting. Our experst don't totally agree on the origins of the Hungarian language. It is claimed by some that it has Turkish origins, but is officially classified among the finnish-ugric languages.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Brazil]:So yes, Quebec is right :)
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:Turkish origins? That's curious. The alphabet is entirely different and there aren't a whole lot of grammatical similarities. Last I checked. I'll admit, Hungarian and Turkish are two languages I'm far from fluent in. I know them lightly.

Brazil, I don't suspect you of cheating. Your position seems genuinely unstable at the moment and cheating wouldn't have gotten you that. On the other hand, theres obvious cooperation in Eurasia that also obviously excludes non-classmates. We're sorry to end your game prematurely, but next time if you'd like to play with your buddies, you should make it a password protected game.

And you'll forgive me, Europe trying to deceive me about how many of you there were isn't a reassuring sign. Again, not your fault. But it doesn't incline me to trust them that nothing is going on.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Quebec]:?? There are ten of us, I've just counted. Unless I can't count.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Brazil]:Okay, you're probably right. I hope they will learn from this next time.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Brazil]:(the Eurasians, of course)
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:I found out about the ten of you after Europe told me his only classmate was Libya. I had to ask Russia separately if he knew Europe. I've literally had to play diplomacy between a couple different nations just to get the list of who all of you were classmates. I wouldn't be so nervous if it had been presented upfront. But, quite the opposite, it was concealed.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Quebec]:Europe's only classmate is Libya, that's correct. We're going to different classes, but to the same school. Actually, I've just graduated from there in June, but the 10 of us come from 4 separate years.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Brazil]:Ok, I've put draw and cancel...
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:Congratulations on your graduation. You all have already said you joined the game as a group and were only expecting to play with each other. When I ask to know who all is among your party, it ought to be obvious I'm not asking about who Europe takes classes with.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Quebec]:Thank you! Well then Europe has misunderstood you, that's all. I don't know him to be someone to deliberately deceive people.
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:Isn't that half the point of this game? :)
06 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Quebec]:Good point!! :D However, I'm pretty sure it was a misunderstanding that time.
07 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:I certainly hope so. Of course, as we've all agreed to draw, it hardly matters in any event. This game won't be continued. But I do hope I run into you sometime in a future game.
08 Oct 12 UTC Autumn, 2001: [Frozen-Antarctica]:Those of you who are not voting Draw or Cancel, please do so.
08 Oct 12 UTC [Frozen-Antarctica]:Curious how the ones not voting Draw are all classmates.
08 Oct 12 UTC [Near-East]:I noticed that too.
08 Oct 12 UTC [Quebec]:For the last time, we're NOT classmates!! Use friends or whatever if it please you but "classmates" is so incorrect. I don't know half of them personally!
08 Oct 12 UTC [Quebec]:Of course, that is not saying you're not right...
09 Oct 12 UTC [South-Africa]:Guys, this is preposterous. Just draw or cancel already, PLEASE!
09 Oct 12 UTC [Frozen-Antarctica]:Waiting for: India, Oz, USA, Libya, Western-Canada, Pacific-Russia, Ghana.
09 Oct 12 UTC [Near-East]:I do hope the friends who aren't voting draw recognize that if I am eliminated this turn (as I am the only one at real risk of being eliminated this turn), a draw will no longer be appropriate and a mod will have to be involved. We don't want to play under these conditions and we've been very reasonable about it. Please vote draw.
09 Oct 12 UTC [Russia]:I put draw but still every player put draw, i will order my armies...
09 Oct 12 UTC [Brazil]:Please Western-Canada also put draw!
09 Oct 12 UTC [Near-East]:Well Russia, that's obviously your prerogative. The problem remains that if you order your armies into my territory and eliminate my last SC, the draw mechanism will no longer be point neutral for all players. Which means it will no longer be an appropriate way to end the game. We will have to get a mod involved to institute a point neutral ending.

No one is going to win this game. No one is going to make point profits on this game. And seven of the nations on the board want out of the game. There's no reason to be playing as though you have something to win. This game has degenerated to waiting for everyone to vote draw.
10 Oct 12 UTC [South-Africa]:Thank you!
