Can the USA and Quebec work together and win the world game?
Could it be where these two close countries work toghether to win? Or does one need to stab the other. Can they be allies? Or is one certan to be stabbed?

I need some help
My mom had a cerebral aneurysm rupture 3 days ago, and she's in the hospital right now in critical condition. I'm staying with my dad right now. I'm wondering if any of you on here have gone through this or had a family member go through this and could offer me some advice on how to handle this.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've been extremely fortunate and haven't had to go through this, so I'm not the best one to get advice from. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

CM, condolences during your difficult time.

Here's some of what worked for me:
1) forget about it. Throw yourself into books, video games, tv, anything. Just try to enjoy yourself. Hire a prostitute.

2) this is out of your control. All the sadness, pain, and worry will /not/ help your mom. So do anything you can to put control into your life. Organize your sock drawer, eat all of one food on your plate before eating all of the next, exercise. Find some element of your life that you can control, and control it.

3) write. Create a world with characters going through what you're going through. Find out how your characters deal with it, then go and do likewise.

4) grieve. Go ahead. She isn't dead, but you're afraid she'll die. So go ahead and grieve like she already has. If she lives, you'll be grateful. If she dies, you'll deal with it better.

I hope these suggestions help you like they did me. Again, condolences.

Don't worry about what you should be feeling, because in times like this everyone reacts differently. Try and keep positive if you can, research the condition to better know what it is you (the family) are fighting, and how to deal with it after the critical phase has passed. A bit of prayer never hurts either.

Most importantly of all, treat all advice you get from here with extreme caution

Talk with your dad. He must be feeling the same, or worse. Be there for eachother.

Lots of strength for both of you and I hope your mother will recover!

CM, my dad had a stroke while on vacation in Niagara Falls, on the Canadian side. It was touch-and-go for a while, and my wife flew back to New York to be with him and my mom while he was in the hospital--a couple of weeks. I recommend praying and getting right with God on your part, facing the fact that we are mortal, and talking to her when you visit, even if she is not responsive. My dad could hear even before he could speak or control his reactions much. He regained his speech fairly quickly and now can walk pretty well with a cane, but he never regained the use of his right arm and hand. I'll say some prayers for her and for your family.

I need a mod..
In September, gameID=97171 was paused, and has never been restarted. Most of the players involved haven't logged in for months, so can a mod please force a draw?
