So, I was England. I died first, primarily by suicide. But I did it to prove a point. Germany, when you have an effective partnership with England that's severely wounded France, you probably want to keep the pressure on France. Or at least, not grab every loose SC, while conclusively demonstrating your willingness to fight France to the last Englishman.

Turkey:

I usually open with armenia, and convoy the 1st build to rumania. I like this opening very much. It usually works. Luckily italy realizes I'm no real threat on him, and austria was abusing him, so it was okay, Russia was in tough psition as always.

Luckily I could trick italy, while he attacked austria, making it perfect for me. Austria moving into naples, and moving out, letting italy have a build, was ingenious, I thought first. Later when he attacked Rome, I realised it might have been a misorder or sg.

Actually I had a few misorders, the worst one is not taking tunis.

Later it was all easy, just took a lot of time. When my ship got into mid-atlantic I knew I will win, it's just the matter of time. France made a huge mistake letting me behind his lines.

Mine's straightrorwardish as Russia.

No builds 1901. Try and fail to prop up Austria. Fortunately Germany and England are impersonating the Wild Cats of Kilkenny in Scandinavia, so my fleet can assume garrison duty in StP and keep its nose out of trouble. Forced northwards by Turkey. Germany seems to be under pressure from France, so I stab England to get an army build or two. Then I move into and out of Denmark which helps Germany to get a fleet doing a set of laps of the British Isles, being chased by France. Otherwise its a matter of trying to keep the balance between Turkey and France in the hope of sneaking a draw. However Turkey played well and won.

An enjoyable way to lose a few points...

I don't think there was anything ingenious about Austria's 'strategy' in that game. He attacked every neighbour apart from Germany - which he probably refrained from doing only out of lack of units.

His constant attacks on me made no sense at all. It is always frustrating to play with noob neighbours but to have a noob neighbour when you are playing as Italy or Austria is always the worst. In the end I disbanded the units I had in centers and just carried on watching my movie. I thought webdip would be a nice distraction this evening, what a mistake! :)

Sarg, yes, it wasn't. But it could have been if he supported you into ionian after, instead of taking rome. That would have saved your asses I assume :) That was the moment, I thought it's clever. And it turned out, wasn't on this purpose.

In hindsight I probably shouldn't have bounced Italy in Bud. Austria would have gone down quicker and we might have cobbled together a defensive line in the Balkans. But hindsight is a wonderful thing...
