I'm sure some of you recall the embarrassing moments thread we had a few weeks ago? Well I have searched by google and by rote reading, page by page, and not found it. Neither did abgemacht, the sweetheart that he is, when he went searching. Any help locating it would be appreciated. I do not recall who started the thread.
When you said "formal dates", I thought you said formal dress. That made me think that everyone should be encouraged to come in a period costume relevant to one of the great powers. Maybe there can be a side contest for best costume.
I wish I could come, but sadly I cannot make it. You will have to catch me at GenCon if you want to play me F2F. I doubt you do, but oh well. I'll be there anyway (and won't say its me till I have played!)
Yeah, can only skip out on work so long... The top option is to meet up in Italy, but if the Spanish economy forces cut backs in their hours, I may be stuck hanging out at the family beach house for a week or so, four blocks from the Mediterranean... Win-win!! :-)
For those looking at flights, do NOT look at Cincinnati airport. It is a commuter airport and the prices are one of the worst in the country. Look at lexington, louisville, dayton (probably the best), and columbus. One of us can help with picking you up from the airport and getting you down to Cincy (and back).
I'm pretty sure now that I won't be able to make it. There's a few things going on around here that could require me to cancel at the last moment, so I'd prefer not to have people expect me. But I'll probably pay 30 bucks towards it anyway.
bump. I'm not committing yet, but if we get down to crunch time I can make a decision. The $400 estimate that Thucy gave is a large money commitment for a college student making minimum wage. So we will see.
