I agree with you, Putin, but by the time France hit draw and not cancel, we had to work with what we could. I wish I could know what France was thinking in that game... He couldn't even take Munich from me, and that should have been a gimme for him.

Wellllll... I admit I didn't want to cancel. I put up a draw vote in 1903 when it looked like there was going to be a consensus, pulled it after 1903 because I didn't want my GR getting hurt and had a cancel up for a while, and then finally hit draw when Italy was starting to own down south and had me scared.

Sorry about that whole Sevastopol thing Putin, you know how much I love my Ukrainians ;)

@Jeremiahg, I had more quibbles with you not acknowledging the nods of friendship I gave you (two-fleet build in 1902, support holds). Were you just gunning for me, or was something else going on? No hard feelings, just curious as to your thought process.

@PE, yeah, I hadn't tried a two-fleet build 1902 Germany before, thinking it'd go swimmingly with France being tied up with an obviously antagonist Italy, but, uh, yeah. That didn't happen. lol

I tend to avoid the 2-fleet German opening. You really only *need* 2 to start, and the 3rd one tends to spook England *and* Russia due to Scandinavia, all the while leaving you unable to fend off a land attack with only 2 armies. It's not a bad decision per se, but I would be hesitant to try it in a gunboat.

More than that though I'm surprised at all-army France. I'd typically think you want at least 1 fleet build even if you're pro-English so you can actually do something against Italy (and because armies get clogged). I've seen it work before though so clearly somebody knows something I don't ;)

@Jeremiahg, uh, no offense, but you built three armies in 1902. That can *only* be antagonistic to Germany. Generally, a fleet in Brest or Marseilles plus armies elsewhere is a good opening for France, usually a bit more ambiguous.
