Has anyone played this variant? How does it impact the game, overall? I can imagine the short-term consequences for France, Germany, and Italy. I'm more asking about the indirect consequences for E,R,A,T, and if there are statistics on how that affects the winner. Thanks in advance!
I am writing a paper for a class and I was wondering if anyone can help me with the difference of what it means to be Ukrainian versus Russian. Obviously there is a language difference, but what about the ethnic differences? What precedent does Ukraine have to exist autonomously from Russia? Thanks for your help.

I heard somewhere that possibly there wasnt jewish slaves who built the pyramids, but that they were paid egyptian laborers. anyone know if theyre is any truth to this? I dont know if its one of those 'new' theories that came to light because of new evidence, or one of them that is trying to preserve the image of one grup of people, or trying to minimize the suffering of another.
@obi if anything is going to make 'people' hate jews 'again' I would say it is israel. many people think israel = jew. what I mean is that there are alot of people who cannot/dont seperate the two.
There's much discussion about the workforce used to construct the pyramids, and it probably wasn't constant over the period they were built. For the Great Pyramid at least, it's believed the workers were paid, but probably not allowed to quit. For another pyramid built in the Middle Kingdom, there is evidence foreign labourers from Palestine were contracted.
There's simply not a lot known about the construction of the pyramids and the people that built it.
I just recently went to a lecture about the kushites (nubia) and although it was more about the earlier kerma period than the later, much 'cooler' merowe period, I gained some insight to the inter-connectedness of nubia and egypt. Kinda makes egypt a lot less fantastic when you know there was an empire just as big and powerful and prolific (had exponentially more pyramids, if smaller) bordering them to the south.

Yes there is. Not paid laborers but conscripts. Egypt build the pyramids with conscripts and it is very possible jews were not slaves at all but just a tribe living within Egypt. The jews might have just been slaves in a spiritual sense. No definitive answer though
In the bible it never says that the Jews built the pyramids. It says that the Jews built some grain silos or some city or some shit like that I'm too lazy to google right now.
Not that I take what is written the bible as truth but I just imagine that misquoting the bible is where the idea of Jews building the pyramids came from.
I don't think the mute button is working properly. Or rather, the unmute button. I accidentally muted a thread (Yellowjacket's about PPSC and Austria) and I went to my settings and found where it said that I had muted it, and selected to unmute it. I still cannot see the thread and no longer have the unmute option. Is this happening to anyone else?

Does the rule hold if one attack on a province is stronger than the other provided the stronger attack is conducted by the same country as beleaguered garrison in question? Sort of a Beleaguered Garrison rule working while simultaneously overruled by No Self Dislodgment rule?
