Unfortunately, all 5 players did not move until Spring 02, so it sours the win a tad, especially with the CD of Persia in 04. However, I enjoyed a good fight between myself and Rome after I stabbed him very early on. He held me back for a long enough time for Carthage to establish himself in the West as a major power to balance out my own power. After a CD by Egypt, NEPatriots88 took over and played on of the most clueless, laughable games I've ever seen since joining WebDiplomacy. I tried to convince him to attack Carthage to speed along the win that I expected to gain eventually, but thought I had eliminated any possibility of that after attacking and then taking Egyptian Sea. To my surprise, he continued moving West, attacking the only player left who could stand up to my expansion on the other side of the board. I would really enjoy an explanation by him to why he played like that.

Anyway, Carthage eventually gave up, saying he would rather me win than have to play any longer with the Egyptian. He supported me, eliminating Rome (though he got the survive I promised him).

In summary:
Carthage aka STRESSEDLINES was a great player to play against. Neither of us trusted the other for a second, but managed not to go to all out war with each other, Carthage knowing he couldn't push me back far enough, and myself knowing I couldn't afford taking pressure off of Egypt. I'd love to play against him again

Rome aka THLAYLI-CORCHEN was a good player. Rather than suiciding against me after I stabbed him, which he could have done and made it much more difficult for me to expand, played a well maneuvered game, allowing Carthage to expand to power-broker status, which eventually was the reason both Carthage and myself continuously supported his holds, fending off the other. I'd like to play him again as well.

Egypt aka NEPATRIOTS88 played a ridiculous game. I think I may have been able to win regardless of who played Egypt, but he sped the process up by years. His attack on Carthage may be the most ridiculous single move I've seen on Webdiplomacy. I would love to hear an explanation for that.

Persia aka STMOORE THE GRAY eventually cd'd which really spoiled the game a tad. He was able to slow my expansion in the East which could have been a game changer had he stuck around or a more well versed Egyptian player been able to capitalized and formed a stalemate line with Carthaginian help.

okay, I will give my summary of this.

First, I took over Carthage, I was not the original owner. When I looked back, It appears the carthage player missed two town, Autumn 01 and 02 both, he did...nothing?

When I took over, he had 3 units, but had 4 centers, Persia was on the way out, and Egypt (what a tool) was wandering around lost in the desert over there.

So, after some early negotiations with Greece (who, like he said, I did not trust for one moment) and Egypt, who babbled like an Oompa Loopma on speed, and yes, even Rome, who I initially was going to try to support vs Greece, I started moving around gobbling up some centers that were unoccupied.

Egypt came to me first abotu Greece, saying "we must ally" I agreed, and we left one army each, with mine being in Leptis, and spent thenext few years supporting each other.

As I saw Rome could not hold, I decided the only way to really stop Greece from winning, is to chew up as much of Rome as I could, and establish a navy. I grabbed Sardina, Sicilia and Baeres from him, and moved towards Masillla.

After my stab, Rome had only Neapolis, massila and roma left, and until the final year kept them, as Greece and were both supporting of attacking in equal strength all these areas. It was a rather interesting sub story, to see who guessed wrong first where, and only in Neapolis did I finally manage to punch thru.

Egypt.....what WERE you thinking, since you decided not to answer me in the game? I am sitting there, thinking we may have a 3 way (If I cna figure out how to eliminate rome that is) and egypt shifts armies towards me under the guise of (supporting the coast)

He has 2 fleets in the entire game, so he is really little threat to the Greek at all, he is all defense along the coast. Then he hits me at Leptis. I was stunned. This forcedme to destroy an army that was in Gaul, as iI felt it was the only one I could afford to lose, and gave me no offensive power at massila

Yes, I did retake Leptis, but had to give up sea power, and rather than continue to be so close to one so idiotic (Egypt) I supported Greece into Massila and roma to end the game.

I was stunned. I could not believe what I had just witnessed. I hope for an EOG also from him, so I can hear this excuse as to 'why;

Greece probably could have one, I dont know. I had just gotten a fresh build from Neapolis and was bringing that fleet into play, and then bang, that happened...lol

People say stabbing is part of the game? true, it is. However, it must server a higher purpose. You do not stab, simply to grab a center, and give another power a victory. You stab to get your own solo, or prevent another solo. I was nowhere CLOSE to a solo. I have 10 centers I think at the end, Egypt had 9 maybe? I think greece had 16 when I offered him those chunks of rome, and he took a few off a now departed Egypt, so its hard to say. I am thinking he had 8 before he went AWOL on us in the final two turns.

It was a fun game, and just for the record the FIRST game I joined on WebDip, after leaving PlayDip after they went down (I still have not returned) I have finished plenty of live games since then, but this was the first one I joined, so I enjoyed the map a lot. A few more sea zones would open things up a bit though for sure...lol

Public School's monopoly hurts American
The monopoly that public schools have on secondary education is one of the major problems that is doing damage to American society today. Public schools not exist for teachers and administrators instead of for students.

Conspiracy theory.
Well, im paranoid, and im wondering what we do if the mods are multi accounting. And we all know they have multiple accounts to aid in spying, investigating, and all the other mod business that is in the grey area. We cant report it to the mods, but we can find out those accounts and not let them use them for such. And im just talking hypothetical here, not making any real accusations (for those of you fond of clue, im not to the point of making an accusation yet) ;)

Hey guys, thought I'd create a thread for anyone to offer their thoughts.
For my part, I think my play as France highlights the importance of sticking with a game even if things look really tough - I was fighting off 3 countries for the first half of the game but still came out on top. To get such a stiff competition situation was great fun! Thanks for the interesting game all and I look forward to no. 13.

Cheating in WebDiplomacy
I have sent a message to the game mods about a no ingame messaging World XI game Im in days ago without reply - and I think its a clear case of either A) metagaming or B) Multi-account because the level of co-op without any supposed comms is unbelievable.

So far nothing at all from the mods - not even an acknowledgement of the mail - what should I do?
