Meritocracy =/= Democracy

Exactly the idea that separates us from Feudal Europeans.
Every time I hear about a European monarch, individual with a title, or some such other social corruption of privilege I thank God my forefathers had the sense to leave that decrepit continent and come to America where merit and not your family line count.

The European nations, particularly England had already started adopting more capitalist less feudal approaches...

However in the socialist democracy we have now (I am including America) its not those with Merit who thrive but those who are lazy and moronic simply because a majority of voters are lazy and moronic.

Yes the fact that Bush's claim to fame before running for President was being an alcoholic who ran a couple of businesses daddy handed to him into the ground and got into ivy leagues on legacy scholarships demonstrates conclusively that family line means very little in America.

Again, I'm kinda thinking TC is a performance art identity, and eventually he's going to tire of trolling everyone at this site and reveal that he's just been having fun fucking with everyone. Fasces I just demonstrated that the Stalin quote about counting votes applies just as much to meritocracy, only then it would be the test graders not the vote counters that matter. So I ask again, if meritocracy is just as flawed as democracy why do you support it...

Because its not. Your assuming the vote counters are the problem with Democracy. They are not it is the VOTERS are the problem I have with democracy.

There is no perfect system. So we have to find systems that have a higher chance at working.

If there was not one test marker, but multiple it would be more likely to succeed.

Say the test was something like getting a degree from 2 different universities, accomplished X-job and BLA BLA BLA.

If it was not one test, but multiple, and each of them marked by different people who were all qualified in their own right to be in that situation the odds of the incompetent getting the job would go down.

That "actual" quote is a fake. It comes from a notoriously unreliable source, Boris Bazhanov, who is the singular source of a wide variety of ridiculous quotes.
