JWD is right, but I'm going to spell this out anyway for a second explanation if you don't understand the first.
OK, the order description on the map is a little confusing. First, you should know that the orders are avaliable in text form if you scroll below the players list and click "Orders". This clears up a lot of ambiguities; for example, cut support is not shown on the map, and you might want to know what it was supporting.
The units are displayed where they end up being, and the arrows signify the orders. A red arrow is a simple move: If the move succeeded (for example, A Mun -> Boh), you would see a red arrow pointing from Munich to Bohemia BEHIND a unit in Bohemia. If the move failed, you would see a red arrow pointing from Munich to Bohemia, but the unit would be in Munich and the arrow would have an X on it.
Suppose that you have A Mun -> Boh, and also A Vie -> Boh. Then there are TWO red arrows with X'es in them pointing at Bohemia, but the units stay in the corresponding spaces.
Support hold is a green cross, with the cross end at the unit supported and the stick end at the unit supporting. If two units support each other it's a double-cross.
Support move is a yellow line, pointing from the supporting unit to the supported move's red arrow.
Convoy is only shown if the move succeeds, but it's a blue line from the ship to the army arrow. (Sometimes the red army arrows are confusing; if you convoy from London to Gascony via ENG and MAO, the red arrow will cut through France even though the army goes around. This is just something you have to get used to.)
Retreats are shown with purple lines, and disbanded/built units have an explosion/star by them to signify that.
