Who hates Americans and Why?t
I hate them because not only are they an interfering bunch and war mongerers, but also because they are loud mouths, can hear them from Oz with their loud talk, but they are arrogant, more than the french, and pompous... that's for starters

Pause please?
To everyone playing this game http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=31461, I would like to ask for a pause. I'm going away for the weekend and will be back approx Sunday 9 am AEST (Saturday 11 pm GMT). Please don't flame me as I can't ask this in game as it is a gunboat, and I would rather the players decide than ask for a moderator to do it which could leave some players confused.

water from cold stream after a morning's hike in the mountains... but then, I guess I'm taking into account the state of mind I'm in rather than simply the qualities of the drink itself... (though I do like water a lot)... I guess I might as well run with this... a margarita on a subtropical beach with no where to go... a hot chocolate after a day in the snow... a fine red wine on a special date... a quality mocha (not too sweet) in the afternoon hanging out with friends... a blueberry milk shake to top off a cheeseburger and fries meal... a lemon-lime sports drink during a timeout in a hard fought sporting contest... hemlock, when standing up for one's principles when given a choice between exile from one's homeland for one's opinions or death
root beer

I like Root Beer, Gatorade isn't bad, but Shady Glen Milkshakes are probably the best.

Anything with caffeine, lovely, wonderful, insomnia-giving caffeine (who needs sleep, plenty of time for that later...)

As a cold drink- Coke, Dr. Pepper, and root beer are all good (IBC, S&W, Mug, Barq's... and no, can't evver have REAL beer, seizure meds for life, so yeah, for me, root beer has to count for the best cold rink...)

A hot drink- TEA!

Screw coffee, it's tea all the way, and so many great blends, black or green, English, Irish (VERY good and can give you a bit of a kick) Earl Grey, Chai... and then Oolong and Genmaicha and Jung Ching Dragonwell and a good deal more...

Scotch - single malt highland aged at least 12 years.

Vodka - Stolichnaya is absolute best. Chilled glass, neat, with a twist.

Seabreeze - Vodka, grapefruit, cranberry.

Mudslide

Chocolate covered raspberry - Hot chocolate and Chambord

That's my list.
warsprite (152 D)

Beer: A good IPA , or a summer wheat. Distilled: Bourbon Whiskey. Caffine: Dark rich and strong coffee black. Cold: Coke-Cola, or glass of whole milk.

@warsprite - Dundee makes a decent IPA for a student budget. Hurt my head on a case this weekend!
Draugnar (0 DX)

For non-alcoholic.

Hot - Tazo Chai
Carbonated - Gerolsteiner or San Peligrino
Non-carbonated cold - Real Lemonade or fresh squeezed OJ

Oh and diet Big Red.
Irish Qualude
Whiskey
Milk or Irish cream (cream tends to make it too sweet though)
Frangelico
Kahluha

Guaranteed to get you noticed when you order it and it's really quite tasty. Like a nutty chocolate milkshake with a kick.

Soft drink - Irn Bru (ice cold) is the king of soft drinks. Is it any wonder that Scotland is (I believe) the only country in the world where neither Coke or Pepsi is #1.

Hot drink - English Breakfast Tea. Made in a teapot. Milk in mug. Add tea. Drink. Cures all known ills.

Beer - Innes & Gunn. Heaven in a bottle.

Gin - Blackwoods

Whisky - Whichever single malt is to hand, pretty much

Red wine - I'm a sucker for a good Rioja

Oh, and champagne (of course)
Jamiet99uk (1307 D)
30 Jun 10 UTC
Oh, good man Pete U - I forgot to say Irn Bru. Irn Bru is the best.

Innes & Gunn is also very nice.

Are you in Scotland? Furryboots?

I forgot the one I just picked up for the afternoon... Fresca. If you like grapefruit-based carbonated beverages (Squirt, Quirst, etc.) then Fresca is the only way to go.
PG Tips - The best tea ever
IBC Cream Soda - The glass bottles make it even better
Irish Car Bombs - Delicious Irishness. If you don't know what it is, here's the recipe http://www.drinksmixer.com/drink7774.html

I'm a sucker for ginger ale, especially if it's Schweppe's.

As for a hot drink, I love hot chocolate with half and half. English Breakfast tea also.

Cold drink: Coke, apple juice, and ginger ale.

Boys with Toys
Whether it's "Rosebud..." or "Toy Story 3" (I have to see it still, but I'm already crying lol) the media seems to love to remind us of that nostalgic-but-sad-for-some fact...We ALL had a favorite toy or two...or many...
And now- they're gone, or stuffed in the attic.
