"“furthermore, she knew MORE THAN HAN, who owned the ship for Decades.”
Remember in Empire when he had no idea how to fix it because he’s not a mechanic? I do because that was a major part of the conflict."
Yes but in the scene in 7, she starts talking about the problem, and they SAY THE SAME SENTENCE in one of the scenes (Han and her). so he clearly has gotten a lot better with it over the years, and remember, he's had DECADES of working with it, with Chewie. Remember at the BEGINNING of 5, whenever they're both repairing it from the outside. he knows what he's doing, the PROBLEM is that hyperdrive had been destroyed, and he hadn't SEEN it. Think back, C3PO was trying to get his attention but he was ignoring him. it wasn't a lack of knowledge on how to fix something: it was not knowing that something had even been broken in the first place. Once they're in that creature's mouth/esophagus, he can't fix it because he doesn't have the equipment, and it needs better repair.
"“the simple fact is it took Luke 2 movies to move a lightsaber with his hand”
Fun fact, that was the very first time we’d seen ANYONE move anything with the Force in all of Star Wars, or even try to. And that was before he trained with Yoda."
yes buy he had Obiwan's ghost helping him the entire time. in the books you follow his training more, and it explains how useful it is HAVING A TEACHER. Rey doesn't have a force ghost following her around helping her out.
"I mean Kylo was holding back and Rey was losing for the vast majority of the fight. She was just a better fighter than Finn, a janitor who’d only been shown fighting a stormtrooper."
But still, you're putting a soldier, who had been deemed field ready, who beat ANOTHER soldier with training, and at least went through training since he was a baby, over random girl on Jakku? But even then "Kylo was holding back" WHERE DO YOU GET THIS? He was injured, but he was TRYING to kill her
"The planet it moved right next to ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
There was literally a planet between the rebel base and Yavin 4."
and yet that planet wasn't hurt by the exploding Death Star. I'm right, you're wrong, the light speed thing is a saga-wide oversight.
"“Luke is a good guy, he used the light side of the force only.”
Leading up to that scene, Luke choked someone with the Force, something only Vader had done before him."
Kylo pure rage and fury tantrum directed at Rey vs Luke calmly waving his hand at Jabba. bull. shit. Prado. bullshit.
"“are you saying that Poe is weak minded?”
Yes. Particularly after being tortured. And the Force protected Rey’s mind from being broken by torture more than Rey just using it herself."
yes but there's still an element of Mary Sue-ery in it, because she has no idea how to protect herself. once again it's an element you learn from the books, but protecting your mind from is something that needs to be learned. think of it like Harry Potter when Snape is teaching him to protect his mind from Voldemort: you have some natural protection, but you're nothing without training.
it's very similar in the Jedi universe, but I suppose we can just throw ALL of that stuff out. who cares about the fanbase, when you can throw elements into a movie carelessly?
"“Besides, as I said, the UNSHIELDED transports that were close to it”
They were on the other side of where it was aiming."
rewatch that shot. the blast went out in all directions. besides, I'm 100% sure you could smash into the Death Star at an angle where it wouldn't be near a planet Prado. that complaint is almost entirely null, because remember, the Rebels were coming FROM the base, which meant the ship would shoot through the Death Star and NOT near them. so even by your logic, which is faulty, it's still entirely possible
