Jamie isn't hurting any one, being malicious to anyone, and he has never directed anything at you.

There is no justification for you to keep attacking him and his posts. Like many have said, mute them if you don't like it.

Be fair to Jamie, he's not the only one who gets shit for posting on the forum.

I have had countless complaints about posting without playing (as if that affects the quality ot quantity of my posts) - what is the underlying issue that annoys some people so much?

@Chaqua if you stick your head out from the parapet in the way you just did you have to expect to cop a fair amount of incoming fire without whining
@Steephie I suspect the Mighty Mods ban most people for cheating, to get banned for being offensive takes some effort, and I believe that the Mighty Mods don't make those decisions without serious consideration
@Jamiet99uk you're entitled to participate in the forum and whilst you and I have sometimes agreed and at other times clashed in the forum and in games generally I love your work, though I still have dreaded memories of that damn German army going in and out of Silesia every time I moved from Warsaw to Galicia
I looked at Chaqua's stats, very impressive ranking, but a win % of only 5% after playing as many games as he has, makes Jamiet99uk's win% of 8% look quite respectable, and mine (a lazy 15%) look remarkable --- lookout SplitDiplomat, I'm only 89,000 odd ponts behind and closing in at a snail's pace

@Orathaic I'll look at the stats for players posting to help me assess their ability to comment on dip game stuff, and as a part of assessing their contributions on other issues. For example I always could dismiss a lot of the dreaded Dwagnars contributions on the basis that they were nonsense, and that after over a hundred games he was still ranked as a political puppet

So taking Chaqua's as an example, my win% is three times his. This does NOT mean I think I'm three times as intelligent as him, just three times more successful at the old diplomacy caper

@Major: well if we're discussing win rates, I think it's fair to point out I'm primarily a gunboat player, and a live gunboat player for the majority of my time here. Wins are less likely in those types of games - they take longer, and also draws are very common in order to not waste 3+ more hours on a live game. I believe my gunboat GR (when it is ever updated) is one of the better ones, so gather what you will from that.

@Chaqua, yes that's valid & like me you also take on CDs which also has that effect on win%, but it was the one obvious thing where I could say mines better than yours, like a how high can you piss comparison

I figure it's always much better if you're going to make a damn fool of yourself over a woman then do it in person and not on the phone. If you telephone she can simply hang up and then turn her phone off. Much more difficult for her to silence a miserable drunken chap in her flowery garden, and her neighbors get to share the love as well. Take a couple of intoxicated and supportive mates. That's the way to really show her your commitment compared to a phone call

If you do it well and play the police who turn up the right way, then even the police will start to support you by telling her things like "he seems like a decent chap who deserves another chance, how about making coffee for us all ?" And you can put a guilt trip on her that it will be her fault for lacking compassion if you get arrested
