I guess if you find a mod willing to swap you with someone. You would need a substitute though.

What people are trying to say is that it's considered REALLY poor form to start a game and, when things are not going your way, just bail. Imagine some other player in that game has things going his way and the vacuum you leave behind when you surrender changes the whole dynamic and can ruin his plans. Just keep playing if you can, you don't have to devote hours to your strategy, just keep entering orders. Besides, you never know when the situation will turn in your favor. Besides, you have a 100% reliability rating right now, don't ruin your reputation.

His only active game is World. That one can take *forever* to complete. Perhaps the time commitment is more than he bargained for going into the holiday season. If you really want out, you can just go in and ready your hold orders each turn. You could also hasten the end by moving out of all your supply centers and letting the other players cannibalize you and then saving hold orders.

Neither of these are really "good" options because they are ethically questionable--better to plan for the time commitment accurately. But, they do prevent you from getting a ding on your Reliability rating though, even if the game is shot. Better than going to civil disorder.

It is widely considered to be poor sportsmanship and generally rude to quit a game on this site because it ruins the game for the rest of the players on the board. However, if you arrange for a substitute, the mod team would gladly arrange the switch.

Is the bug that counts the Cd against you if you're forced to CD by a mod fixed?

We could use a substitute function like that on vDip.
