Nope, not at all.

I walked past a smoking guy/kid and afterwards I kinda felt like I perhaps should have considered sitting with him.

I think I can say pretty objectively that it's not in an even slightly dangerous fashion though.

Make sure you sit upwind so you don't have to keep explaining why you smell like you be smoking while they run drug tests.

You can't get into trouble unless
(a) you're sitting in the guy's house when the cops bust down the door
(b) you're selling to him or using with him
(c) you're harboring him

Unless he claims b or c to "cooperate" with the police. Being innocent doesn't mean much while you try to prove it.

I had a friend spend a day in a police holding cell after being identified by a woman that claimed he robbed her when he was across town in a store at the time. He even had a time stamped sales receipt to prove his alibi. The only reason he didn't mind his false arrest was he hated his job more and this was an excuse not to show up that day.

People get arrested all the time on probable cause, erroneous test results or evidence, or just because the cops want to like reporters in Ferguson. That's when they don't outright lie about a crime.

Steephie - you are in a whole heap of trouble and if you are sitting next to someone using drugs right now, I and the other users of this site who are talking to you could also be arrested. Particularly if the drug of choice is coffee.
