Mount and Blade Warband and Skyrim are my two favourite single player RPGs

This thread (and the Steam summer sale) inspired me to buy KoTOR 2 on steam and install the restored content mod, and I feel that the result is a much more enjoyable game. Still not on the level of the first, but quite good. krellin, these games would likely work on whatever PC you have, given their extreme oldness.

Anyone ever play Everyone Is John? It's a rules-light tabletop game that tends to provide endless hours of entertainment.

yeah, it definitely looks like it would be fun to play on the forum (with Krellin in particular), but it would have to be a 'live' game for it to work, wouldnt it??

It has more then 30,000 mods, some of which give it a lot of replayability.

KoTOR 1 and KoTOR 2 were amazing. I still replay them today. I play through them at least once a year. Bioshock is also just as amazing and I play through it and Bioshock 2 multiple times. Bioshock Infinite not so much...I almost threw my Xbox out the window when I beat it.

ghug you're doing it wrong.... when somebody starts whining about some PC crap like this, you just show them an example of what REAL offensive is. You know, to help them ground their sense of perspective. Observe:

@ghug- your game you are promoting specifically references "voices"; aka auditory hallucinations, and in some cases, command hallucinations.

4E isn't even D&D as far as I'm concerned. It's an MMO posing as an RPG.

Wizards of the Coast destroyed AD&D. I'm currently playing 13th Age, a throwback to when roleplaying actually mattered. It still has its flaws, but it's the opposite of 4E.

I played one Call of Chthulu campaign. That was pretty fun.

Also 4E was clearly designed by some shithead marketing major who thought up every conceivable scheme to rip people off. Hey, let's make them dependent on tons of miniatures, but not make miniature sets of the same race of monster, so people have to spend hundreds buying miniatures. Let's make everybody buy 10 different rulebooks just to play a campaign. And oh did I mention the player enhancement cards? Yeah what the fuck is that all about. And oh let's make the system completely impossible to convert from earlier editions so if you began 3E campaigns just prior to its release, you'e screwed.

Anyone know how well the Fate system plays?

I've been interested in trying that out with the Dresden Files RPG, but I'm not at all familiar with any aspects of the system except that it's supposedly really flexible. Figure this thread is as good a place as any to ask.
