So, say you're playing a gunboat game on the standard map. If Russia NMRs/CDs off the bat, is that cause enough to cancel/draw the game? Should you cancel if ANY power starts that way?
What about in variant maps? Naturally, I think on the larger maps, a single country's NMR is less game-breaking, but on Ancient Med, I feel like one nation's failure to participate completely unbalances the game for everyone. Do you cancel, wait until they officially leave and draw, or what?
My current stance is usually to cancel in the case of first turn issues, and it depends on how influential the player could have been had they remained whether I draw or vote to cancel, or simply keep going for games with later leavers. Does that seem right? Also, are there any unofficial site rules with regard to these sorts of situations?
