One thing confuses me though... In March I was 20th, and in April I'm 37th, yet my change of rank is -11. Am I missing something?

It's probably the people that weren't on because of the three month rule but now are because it's changed to six months

By the way, are parameters set at the beginning or end of the game? For instance, if I make a gunboat game but on the last phase change it to full press, where will it be listed?

Or if we make some tournament games as gunboat so mods can reshuffle them, and change them to full press on the first turn will they be counted as gunboat or press?

As far as changing when people drop off the list from three months to six months, how did that come about? Did Ghost himself approve that, or was there some sort of vote, or are you just in charge of it now? I'm not big on change, and it's always been three months, which insures people have to be relatively active to be on the list (since some games take more than three months)...

Thanks, Ald... Looking at categories is pretty cool, as all my first games were full press PPSC, and most of my recent games have been GB WTA... Has The Czech really completed 1,600 games?

@abgemacht, the final parameters settings are what is used. Actually it is the current parameters, so if you go and change an old game from full press to no press, then it'll retroactively be adjusted for the no press weighting. And it'll stick out like a sore thumb to me when I compare the new data with the old data so don't be getting any ideas about changing all of your losses to no press.

@MadMarx, Ghost is not particularly involved at this point. It hasn't always been 3 months, there used to be no drop off. It has just been 3 months for several years. Part of the reason for the drop off being added was to get banned players off and now that is handled differently. And I have received feedback from various people about 3 months being too quick since individual games often take that long. So I extended it to 6 months.
