Property
One of the lessons I've learned from the crisis that we in Europe have been dragged through ever since the bail out of Lehman Brothers in 2008 is how fragile certain forms of property are, such as money, but also pensions (future money).

The game drags out
Every experienced players would use this feature to their advantage. It's a nice feature so that you don't miss a turn.

I propose, to take a point off from the any potential points won in the game against the player, if each time the turn expired with ""Orders completed, but not ready for next turn".

question about this website
if you can mute users, so presumably those who dont want to hear my threads can mute me, then why are the moderators blocking my threads? or was it just because of my pointing out bloomberg telling the police to use extortion against the people of america to get gun laws passed for the elites?

@blankflag - Rarely do I absolutely laugh out loud. But your post made me do just that. As I wipe the tears from my face, I wish you all the best at whatever forum you eventually call home.

Hey, I have a serious question. If blankflag is being sanctioned for regularly posting rubbish that clogs up the forum with crap, why do the moderators tolerate Mujus's constant posting about the bible?
@Jamiet99uk - if you're going to come out here and be a giant douchebag, you should probably consider how people view your contributions first. As far as I am concerned, nothing you have ever posted has been worth anyone's time. Grow up and stop behaving like a child.
zultar (4180 DMod(P))
31 Mar 13 UTC
I'm glad someone asked that question.
Mujus has been asked -and he has consistently followed our suggestion- to keep his posting to a single thread, "Daily bible drivel."
And I suggested the same thing to blankflag: to post his inane rubbish to a single thread that he has already proclaimed to be his daily news or the equivalent to Mujus's thread.

That's perfectly fine.
Jamiet99uk (1307 D)
31 Mar 13 UTC
@ zultar: That's fair enough I suppose. Thanks for responding.

@ Lando: Hey, why the hate? I may be a bit of an asshole but I also make plenty of serious contributions. My question about Mujus was genuine - I find his Bible nonsense a detriment to the quality of the forum. Why do you attack me?
I don't care for the bible either. I find your posts to be be very rude and insulting most of the time. Not to me, but I find you tend to target whoever the current "trend" happens to point to. I find you to be apologetically rude to people who are already taking abuse and I don't enjoy this type of behaviour, its worse than hearing about the bible or "elites" in my mind.
Fortress Door (1837 D)

anyway i have already decided to stop using this site for debate and just copy and paste news into it and let your community do the debating since its not worth my time when other sites have better moderators and a more critically thinking userbase.

May I suggest:

I do think, however, that their rules of the forum are spelt out better than here. Not saying that I agree with them, but they do seem to be pretty well laid out and very detailed.
Jamiet99uk (1307 D)

@ Lando:

1. I don't understand the phrase "apologetically rude".
2. Link to three recent examples of me being "very rude and insulting" to people who weren't asking for it, and I'll be happy to discuss my comments in each case. It's even possible I'll see what you mean and apologise for my conduct, if with hindsight I appear to have spoken unduly harshly.

Oh, that is better jim. Yeah, we can agree to that. Nigee's cool as long as he's not talking about Israel or religion.
Jamie, I am referring to exactly what you have admitted to "to people who weren't asking for it"

I would go find examples, but this is how you would defend your actions. I find you to be extremely unpleasant because you find a need to respond to every instance of a cheating accusation, a stupid question, an annoying "debater-type" with extremely harsh and uncalled for insults. Often you do so after other people have politely tried to help the person out. The worst, though, is that you join any kind of "negative bandwagon" and contribute in the most insulting fashion you can think of.

It's classic bully behaviour. I understand that its easy to get away with this over the internet, but I find your attitude towards other people to be extremely unpleasant.

I hope my response was satisfactory.
Jamiet99uk (1307 D)
04 Apr 13 UTC
It wasn't satisfactory, no. Despite your repeated claims that I bombard people with "extremely harsh and uncalled for insults" you seem unable or unwilling to offer any examples of me doing this.

I do insult people sometimes, yes, but I reckon they generally have it coming.

I demand justice and so forth...
Jamiet99uk (1307 D)
05 Apr 13 UTC
Lando are you going to man up, or what? Examples or I didn't do it.
Jamiet99uk (1307 D)
09 Apr 13 UTC
Well, there we go. I gave Lando a reasonable time to back up the accusations made against me, and nothing, silence. And I note Lando commenting on threads in the last 24 hours, so I guess I'm not going to get a further response. Nice.

I knew there was something about Jamie I liked. :-)
Jamiet99uk (1307 D)

I read the quote from Lando (repeated above by Draugnar) as:

"I would go find examples, but I don't want to give you the opportunity to defend yourself against my broad-brush insult".
Jamiet99uk (1307 D)
11 Apr 13 UTC
I rest my case. Lando's silence speaks volumes.

Lando - don't bother to respond now, I gave you an entire week, during which you were online more than once and commenting in other threads, so you can't claim you didn't see this one. You say I'm the one who is unfairly rude to people, yet here you publicly insulted me, in quite an offensive tone to be honest, and then you refused to back your words up despite me giving you a week to do so. You fail.

Apologies guys, I won't be bumping this thread again.

Is it legal to discuss a game in the forums?
If so, I think it would be fun to play a "forum" game. No press in game, all communication must take place on the forum, no private messages.

It'll give others the chance to troll our play. Should be funny. Who's interested and uses the forum a lot?

The Other Other Kennedy Assassination
We anti-conspiracists strongly believe the narrative that Ted Kennedy negligently killed a woman in Chappaquiddick in 1969. However, those smarter than us insist that Kennedy was actually under the influence of a powerful Cuban mind-control experiment and that Mary Jo Kopechne was actually Marilyn Monroe in disguise.
