I was bored and looking through your player information pages while going through the Top 100, and I noticed that most of you have your P/W/D/S/D stats for each country posted. Is there a reason for that?
Government to release software designed to identify Web Trolls
Not making this up, beware Webdip community, your days of calling someone a faggot after an NMR/CD may soon come back to haunt you. Or perhaps your anti government rants on the forum wouldn't help either ;)
Meh... The British parliament can kiss my smelly white American ass. Fuck them and their laws. I'm not under their juris-my-dick-tion and they can suck my cock if they think I give a fuck about their laws and opinions. Their all a bunch of fucking sodomists and pedophiles in parliament anyhow.
This website is not subject to British law. Australia may share a head of state with the UK but not a parliment. Nevermind the fact that Kestas could easily move webdips hosting to Sweden (home of the free? at least thepiratebay is still available...)
Now the UK could potentially block British citizens from viewing such inflammatory website. They can claim it applies to any website, but what case law is there at the moment in the UK? What does it take for a British court to claim jurisdiction over an Australian or Swedish website?
I'd like to hear Kestas' opinion, and legal advice. (any free legal advice out there?)
Draug, what about the next time you want to visit the UK? would you like to be picked up at customs for trolling? If Kestas choose to comply with UK laws he could reveal your identity to the Authorities there... (or at least your IP address)
This sounds like it is being pushed by ISPs and webhosts who want to earn some measure of protection from legal action, tbh.
And we have this law that says we can't be tried for a crime if it wasn't a crime when we commited it. So I can call those fuckers every name in the book and *still8 nothing will happen to me as the US has no law and I woudl have to do it *after* they passed one for it to be a crime. I love the US legal system!
At least until the Republicans take over here and decide it's a good way to get rid of their opposition too. It hasn't been that many years since the Patriot Act was used to get library records to see what people were checking out certain books.
Hey, don't lay it all on the Republicans. Obama signed the NDAA into law back in January and it seriously expanded the Patriot Act and the military's role going so far as allowing the military to detain US citizens arrested on US soil.
Draugnar: Yes, but when it comes to civil liberties and jingoism, the reality is that the Democrats are much more prone to maintain the status quo than worsen the situation/start a disaster like the Republicans
My NHL Nightmare Season Is Complete--Kings Win the Cup
First the Ducks play up and down and then completely bottom out to 13th place... Then the Rangers blow it... And now...now, the worst team possible to win the Cup for a Ducks fan...great win for the Kings, they deserved it, though.
Nearly every time I win a game I end up making really, really stupid mistakes in other games. This is a word of warning to other players: Don't get lazy or complacent if you do well once. Learning that lesson is part of what separates the good from the great... not even just in Diplomacy, but life in general.
Me, I think in accents. I'm not even joking either. It's probably one of the strangest things I do. The accents I think in most commonly are British, Australian, and Jersey accents. Though I use Russian and French accents quite a lot. With the occasional pirate accent.
Numeri Romani sunt systema numerorum a numeris Tuscis pertractatum et in imperio Romano diu usi. Numeri Romani in litteris I, V, X, L, C, D, M consistunt. Numeri Romani hodie quoque paulum usurpantur; mos enim eorum notandorum non multum post medium aevum mutatus est. – VICIPÆDIA
I am going to be responsible for clearing out old paused discontinued games. It will take me a while, so if you have a game in mind, let me know and I will make it a priority. Hopefully this will clear up the "join games" option so more people would be willing to take on games with CDs.
