Would anyone like to debate on a topic in favor of Christianity?
"The Greate Debate" thread is soon going to produce a top-notch, formal debate for your reading pleasure, but we need one more Christian debater.. please express interest to me or in this thread. I can explain the debate rules.
Speak if you guys want. I know my first comment is: I have no idea how the hell I made this happen by pissing off all 3 of my initial enemies. This is a perfect example of how you CAN make something happen without allies...lol
diplomacy is the art and practice of conducting negotiations between representatives of groups or states. you cant do that without contact. so why the hell are there so many anon no messaging games these days?
This is less of a pyramid scheme and more of a circle jerk.
1) It is endlessly sustainable as a limited group of players can endlessly post and +1 each other repeatedly without the need to recruit more into the group. 2) +1s are worthless beyond the gratification of seeing a meaningless number increment on your profile. This abuse of the system only further reinforces the meaninglessness of +1s. Nonetheless, some players find self-gratification in their "liked" count. 3) One does not need to "buy in" (+1 others) to reap the rewards of this scheme. For example, note that Zultar has only +1ed three posts ever (and likely none in this thread).
Indeed, yebellz, if everyone followed the rule (+1 every user, not post, before you) then this would be a pyramid scheme.
Although of interesting note is the discrepancy between Sarg and D33 near the top. Three have posted and not given +1 to D33 presumably because he is muted. KA, meanwhile, has only one less than zultar, which is the correct amount less he should have. Interesting what it says about mutes, no? KA in particular should be very proud of this development.
Why should I be proud of something that occurs over the internet? The amount of +1's I give or receive is not subject to pride nor to any other form of emotional attachment. People generally take party to entertain my ramblings a slight bit more than Diplomat. This is no profound event. I am much more easily ignored than forcibly muted.
This is the pyramid part, Taos, where we must recruit new user posts to the thread. Speaking of which, I have been denied a +1 by someone who gave zultar a +1 and not me. He should have one less, if the rule that he laid out is being followed.
Do You Hear the People Sing...Egypt Sung For *This?*
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-egypt-court-elections-20120615,0,511695.story LA Times, BBC News, and other outlets reporting Egypt's parliament has been dissolved by their high court while keeping a Mubarak supporter on the ballot for the Presidential Election. Thoughts?
I've seen a number of discussions on the forums recently comparing two positions or ideas that are too different to reach a valid conclusion about which is better. Since invalid comparisons are in vogue right now, I thought we might discuss the classic: apples vs oranges. Go!
