Best convoys?
Wondering which games have had convoys that stood out for being either extremely long, decisive/critical in terms of gameplay, or unexpected. Would be interested in seeing!

Help finding a thread
I'm sure some of you recall the embarrassing moments thread we had a few weeks ago? Well I have searched by google and by rote reading, page by page, and not found it. Neither did abgemacht, the sweetheart that he is, when he went searching. Any help locating it would be appreciated. I do not recall who started the thread.

But in all seriousness, good game guys, you kept me on my toes every second! Very fun and challenging!

Well played Sargmacher - just thought we might have held you out. Maybe I should have come back down south and tried to kick you out of Turkey earlier?

One move that did confuse me - Bob, why did you move Munich-Kiel (I think it was in Spring 1908)? You had double support on it and could have held till doomsday but it did let him through.

Enjoyed my relationship with Italy. For most of the game we appeared to be well co-ordinated!

Thanks all

Pj
My thoughts after A01:Fuck you, england

In '03: Oh shit, Austria isn't really making a move on Munich is he?

In '04-'05: Seriously, I am going to spend this game trying to kill Austria, so long as France goes after Italy rather than me once I get Austria out of Germany.

In '06: Shit. France isn't going to give me that opportunity. Why, God, why, are you sending me plague after plague this game? Did you wager with Satan or something?

Lol - response to your PM as well Bob. I went for Munich as I had a great relationship with Italy and wasn't too worried about Russia. Once France got to a certain point - you'll note I move straight out and then tried to help you hold it!
I tried getting cute. I saw France gradually getting units behind the Ionian curtain in the Med, figured he was going to win unless something weird happened, and tried to create something out of nothing.

Very true Bob, when I saw Austria's very early move to Munich I was rather impressed with his brazenness! PJ, kudos to you for such a daring raid - that actually was quite successful! Had England not gone down, you would have had a much more successful game I feel.

Bob, I actually didn't intend to stab you when I did but your early move to North Sea made me pull some units back. I thought you were going to attack me but then mysteriously you pulled back again. I wasn't sure what you were doing at that point so I just tried to push on and make sure I stopped you whatever it was you were trying!

Yeah, I was hoping England would keep you occupied a little bit longer. If I'd been able to nip in and take Berlin & Munich I felt I could then continue to mop up Austria. Again though fair play to Italy, I wouldn't have done it if I didn't feel I could trust him.

Congrats on your win. I was too caught up in defending my home SCs ,which, by the way, you were never able to grab :~P Should've never let that first fleet slip behind the stalemate line. But at that point, I think I was the only one actively opposing you as A and G were tussling over Mun, and you coming at me with all guns blazing. Very good game.
I made a timing mistake. Austria mounted the raid that condemned me to second ranker status for the rest of the game in '02. Ballsy, and you more or less pulled it off. Well played, sir.

Also a big thanks to Austria. It was a a pleasure working with you.

Yeah, Italy, Austria, Germany - you all gave great opposition. I think you're right though, PJ, Turkey might have been a clincher - I might not have got those vital builds had you not let me take Smyrna and Con.

13 Apr 12 UTC
Thanks S.E. I genuinely felt at times it was one of those games where we could get accused as multi's cos we worked so well together!

I do regret not building another fleet, I wanted to reassure that I had no intention of attacking you but that could have helped me down south.

I have to admit, that was one of the most enjoyable live games I've played. Even if I did lose 200 D on it.... ;-)

Just proves that the higher stakes games are better. We had no NMRs or CDs and every person brought great skill and class to the table.

Another fleet might've helped but it was always going to be a horrible guessing once he got into the Ionian anyway.

Alas, after that loss, I'm no longer a "mastermind". Sad.

Look, Foreigners, I don't hate you guys, but
Like seriously, you all have no culture. Most of you don't even make good movies. Many of you talk funny, and don't eat enough meat. Try driving an SUV, it makes you feel powerful. And seriously, what do you do for role models? I mean you don't have ANYTHING that compares to Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian. Also, why can't you afford designer clothes like a real person? USA, baby. USA.
