Would you please clarify this? It sounds a good deal like you're saying that, because a particular viewpoint is ascendant, no moderation is required, while if another one were, it might be. But I probably misunderstood.

What I'm saying is that the more extreme opinions, like antisemitism, racism, neonazism and such are omitted by the liberal forum culture. Anyone with such obscene ideas would be virtually stoned by the community. So in a sense the community is already self-regulating.

For instance, if I were to start a topic about the supposedly zionist conspiracy to let Obama impose health care or if I would start a topic about how all muslim are fags, I would receive a lot of hate comment like:

"Shut up you racist bastard" (or worse)

I must say, I have basically disappeared from the forum of late because the content has changed so drastically (in a negative way) from what it was three years ago when I joined the site.

I would be thrilled to see the forum return to "the good old days" but I'm not sure how likely that is.

I'm still out here watching occasionally, and am available for games, but you won't see me much on the forums.
