I played very cautiously and allied to Egypt since the start of game and he was good towards me..I liked the game of Greece very mch..He was unpredictable..at some times...:)

Help finding a thread

I'm sure some of you recall the embarrassing moments thread we had a few weeks ago? Well I have searched by google and by rote reading, page by page, and not found it. Neither did abgemacht, the sweetheart that he is, when he went searching. Any help locating it would be appreciated. I do not recall who started the thread.

Introducing The WebDip Ladder, a new tournament series

A perpetual series of tournaments (like the leagues).
Multiple tiers with promotion and relegation in between seasons.

Basic Idea: A spiritual successor (or alternative, if the leagues ever get back up and running) to the WebDip leagues.
The major differences are player anonymity and a heavier emphasis on top-level competition rather than fraternization.

General format: Players are grouped into tiers. Each season is a tournament where players predominantly play within their own tier. Between seasons, players are moved between tiers based on performance.

Games will be WTA, Anon, Classic. Specifics regarding the scheduling, etc. are flexible and dependent on player interest.

9 signups so far. I'm hoping for at least 28 or 35.

The first season can be somewhat shorter and smaller as there is always the possibility to grow for the next one.

12 sign-ups so far. Decent group so far, but I think we need at least 14 or 21 to get things started. I'm keeping the sign-up open for at least another week.

From the responses so far, it seems that 36hr phases, 4 games (staggered, at most 2 at a time), plus 1 or 2 intra-tier games would work best for most.

If we only get 14-21 sign-ups, we can perhaps just play the first season with a single tier.
