Public Press World Game!
So, I really enjoy the World variant. I've played a couple full press and gunboat games, but have never tried a public press game. I personally think that such a game would be rather fun, with tons of potential for negotiation on a global forum.

Joining this game will give you lots of good Karma; you will be repaid 16-fold.

Bump. Again.

This game isn't actually going to time out with 16 players, is it?

Sorry, Tas, I'm out. If you try again say around June 15, I'll jump in again. For now, out of respect for the sitter I will have soon enough, I must bail. Again, I am sorry. I really thought this would start a week ago and allow us to get far enough in that I would feel comfortable handing this off to a sitter....

Public press World game still needs 2 players
May not everyone has a look into the older thread anymore.
But we still need 2 players for our public press game with 48hours / phase and Anonymous players. You are in for 35 D.

Henotheism
Henotheism is the belief and worship of a single god while accepting the existence or possible existence of other deities. The term was originally coined by Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling (1775–1854) to depict early stages of monotheism, however Max Müller (1823–1900), a German philologist and orientalist, brought the term into common usage.

Congratulations to Chanakya. But Bob, what happened in the last move there? I had Munich covered, Bur could have saved Mar, and Portugal was not in danger? I don't understand. We were just one turn away from drawing.

I saw this wonderful news article on the BBC and I thought it was worth sharing - not only because it's so ridiculous it's comedic but also because it reminded me of our resident Swede, Vaft :)

Could people please stop signing up for games and then not showing up?
I swear, every time I'm Turkey or England, people don't show up and screw thegame. If I'm Austria, though, everybody's there with bells on and eager to move to Trieste and Galicia right away.

Marxism
Marxism is fundamentally a theory of history which should entail a commitment to social change; that is, a commitment to a socialist future in which the forces of production are not owned privately as they are in capitalist societies but under common ownership.

Chelski playing Barca
And Drogzilla scores. I effing hate Chelski, but I have nothing but admiration for Drogba. It helps that they're playing Barca, who I fucking detest since their several year long campaign to stoke Fabregas' discontent. Seriously, fuck them.
