How should you view the economy?
"Treat all economic questions from the viewpoint of the consumer, for the interests of the consumer are the interests of the human race."

Language
Guys, I got tired of having to hide the screen from my kids when I was reading the Forum posts because of the widespread use of the F-word and other profanity. So--it's not personal if I muted you, or your thread.

The Pope's visit to Cuba
So the Pope reckons that "Marxism no longer corresponds to reality".

He claims to be the earthly representative of an all-powerful invisble sky wizard. What the fuck does he know about reality?

Alright, say some of your friends dated a chick who is, let's say, a whore. Now, you go after her just for that reason; not to date her, but just to get a little somethin somethin. Does that break the "bro code"?

Flying is just swimming through a gas. Birds fly, fish swim, much of the principles of lift and diverting thrust are the same. It's just a heavier medium.

Nevertheless, men were not built to fly. If you can truly comprehend the awesome feat that mankind has achieved, if you can understand exactly, and I mean exactly, how a 600,000 pound hunk of metal with two wings that span 211 feet, then you, my friend, are either a lier, or a genius. I highly doubt that any one single person will ever fully understand how flight truely works. And THAT, is what's most amazing.

1- My lovely wife who deserves much better than me.
2- My beautiful kids who needed much more than I could provide.
3- My grandkids who I will fail by not providing for their future enough in my life.
4- My partner for providing opportunities, support, and guidance the multiplied my own efforts a thousand fold.
5- My employees for working so hard with so much dedication and placing so much trust in me.
6- My loyal clients who rewarded my efforts on their behalf beyond my wildest dreams.
7- My dogs. When everything else or everyone else is against me they have nothing but boundless affection for me.
8- My bong for always reminding me that man can live by hard work and dedication alone.

Um... It's a simple matter of air pressure providing lift. Anyone who has ever stuck their hand outside a car going 60 MPH and felt the pressure on the bottom as the tiltbtheir hand up and on the top as they tilt it down understands exactly how an airplane works. Just as a set of waterskies or a overboard provide lift in the water and bring you to the surface as the ski boat gains speed, so the wings attempt to raise anything attached to them when the pressure underneath pushes them up. It's cool, but hardly amazing. Then again, while I'm not a pilot (damned colorblindness) I do enjoy designing and building experimental r/c aircraft. If there is a method of transportation i find amazing and breathtaking it's the two pressure extremes - deep sea submersibles and spacecraft. Going down to crushing depths in a tin can or strapping yourself into a machine comprised mostly of combustible materials andbthen heading out into space where a simple leak would cause you to experience explosive decompression and returning safely in both instances. That is mind boggling. I've gotten to do the first, but the color blindness prevented me from getting into NASA's astronaut program.

Why we should keep Government WEAK!!!!
Those in the human race who are lazy, dishonest, unmotivated, drug addicts, drunks and unreliable want government to be strong so government can provide them a life they would never or could never provide for themselves by their own efforts. This thread is dedicated to them, and to keeping Govt. weak

A question for the Webdip Theological Seminary
I am curious, what is your take on Mark 12:24-25 and Matthew 22:29-30 (nearly identical passages)? Jesus claims to be quoting scripture, but the scripture is not locatable in the Tanakh.

Allow me to make the first post, please.
