Any one else tired of the God-Hating socialist lefties that troll this site.
Any time someone starts a forum to state an arguement it is filled with trolls mocking other peoples opinions because they are not their own. I know as soon as I post this trolls will flood it, but I want to know if I am not the only sensible person who wants to see other opinions and ideas and think about them.

You're right, I'm sorry about that, I should have said catholics. The situation was different in Byzantium, although I have to admit I don't know that much about it.

'Any one else tired of the God-Hating socialist lefties that troll this site'
Yes I'm tired of those God-Hating lefties that troll this site ........ they are so left, and socialist, and God-Hating it can be really awful.
My question is, why are they doing this, these 'lefties', and where are all of the 'righties' when you need them?
And as for Hating God, what has he ever done to them?
I've glad this viewpoint is finally getting a decent airing ........
Vaftrudner (2533 D)

ILN, in that case, I was referring to the difference between the late Andalusian rulers and the Spanish in particular.

Um, and yet we have the insurrection of 818 in Cordoba, put down brutally with over 300 crucifixions and mutilations, in which 20,000 families were expelled.

people need to stop judging christianity on the people who practice it and start judging it based upon its teaching because none of us are perfect "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god" romans 3:23. if you truly want to know what christianity is about read the book of romans.
@BF
Agreed

Putin, I'm not arguing that persecutions didn't happen. I know of many despicable events. I'm talking in general about the dhimmi system compared to the ghetto system of catholic Europe. If it's your view that these are just as reprehensible, then fine. You're entitled to your opinion.

Religious minorities in Byzantine Empire lived far better than in Andalusia. So yeah I think we're pointing out the worst case of oppression in Christian Europe with the most tolerant case of Muslim rule, and saying that the latter was better on the whole. I don't think that's a fair comparison at all.

I am joining late again, but I'm only here to address HC's biblical ignorance.

The Leviticus laws are part of the old covenant, which was a promise by the
Tetragrammaton to protect and redeem Israel if they kept his commands and laws. Jesus' death fulfilled the old covenant, and so it is and was no longer contractually binding. His last supper formalities and resurrection ushered in the new covenant. The dietary laws in particular were repealed by Peter.

For scriptural references, see Matthew 5:7-8, Hebrews 8:14-17, Acts 10:11
@DD
I said we don't follow Leviticul law.

Perhaps I misread, then, but you also said you didn't know where to find it in the bible. So I have provided you references.

@ Putin concerning holocaust and religion

Like I said, people misinterpret it the Bible. Besides, religion wasn't the reason for the holocaust; Hitler as well as long standing cultural separations were. For Hitler, religion was an excuse. After all, who back then would deny something if it were in the name of religion?
dubmdell (556 D)
26 Mar 12 UTC
@Celtic, you're welcome for the references. Nothing more annoying than debating a bible-thumping Christian who cannot seem to produce any scripture to back up his position of faith. Sometimes we have to do the footwork for them. =P
Celticfox (100 D(B))

@Dub He did say he hadn't actually read the bible from cover to cover. Someone that Devout should of done that several times over. Just goes to show some people will parrot anything.
dubmdell (556 D)

Indeed, Celtic, indeed. (sorry that I missed his stating that. I kind of skimmed and skipped chunks that I missed. =P)
Gobbledydook (1389 D(B))

Come to speak of it, I actually have studied the Bible for public exams. It was a compulsory in my school. So yes, I think I do know more about the Bible than many ignorant bible-thumpers who use the Bible to thump not to read.
taustin282 (100 D)
27 Mar 12 UTC
Leviticus can suck a dick. I might have to pave the way for a new denomination of Christianity where people only accept the parts of the Bible that a reasonable and are fair to others. Genesis would be thrown out the window, as would Leviticus because of that hateful remark. I doubt MY God would want gays dead just for loving one another.

taustin: that denomination exists, it's called The Road to Atheism.

PORK RINDS -- Is it JUST ME???
Question: Has anyone else notice that pork rinds seem to be completely devoid of nutrition or tastiness? That their outlandish texture often completely conficts with our delicate sensibilities, and often suggest that we should spit them up or cover them with hot sauce?

new stats in the works
I have a goal to finish stats that look at the following: a solo layout for each power that looks at the centers owned by each country and the frequency of control, i will also separate WA and PPSC win/draw stats, the number of centers a country needs to feel secure in the idea that it has likely minimized the likelihood it will be eliminated, and an update on my prior work. important about 40% done and hope to have it done by the end of the semester.

Live Gunboat Group
I have been sorely disappointed in the quality of live gunboats. There is constant NMR, CD, and lack of etiquette. I would like to compile a list of users who would enjoy playing gunboats live and would agree to certain rules (to be determined by the players who are initially interested).

No in game messaging
I have no idea what the point of disabling in game messaging is, this game is called diplomacy, the outcome of the game is highly influenced by your diplomatic skills, take that away, like in the anon gunboats, and the game becomes luck, with a bit of strategy.

Take Away EVERYONE'S right to Marry
Since we obviously can't give Homosexuals the right to marry because it could expand to other issues, such as pedophilia, bestiality and polygamy, we must take away everyone's right to marry. After all having the institution of marriage at all threatens to lead to give marriage to homosexuals, which, in turn could expand to other issues such as pedophilia, bestiality and polygamy. Protect the institution of marriage by abolishing it.
