Unresponsive Player in Game 81121
We've paused a game for the weekend and one of the players didn't come back to unpause. Is there anything we can do to get it going again? The game link is:

These days, the demand for laid behind wedding dresses is demands than before with breeds. Times change and the plus the modern bride is cheap and easy bridal fashion, rather than to so you can rigid traditions, marriage brown bridesmaid dresses, look the same personally.

Ma'am,
I think you got on the wrong website. I would ask your grand kids to help you with this internet thingy. You can also try Vdip.

+1 to this thread. Everything about it is perfect. Take the first sentence:

It just gives a whole other dimension to corporate slogans. "Nike, just do it". "Menthos, the freshmaker", none of them compare to:

"These days, the demand for laid behind wedding dresses is demands than before with breeds."

Again, +1, and thank you for sharing.

OK, so I went there and it is a legit bridal site. But if I were a woman and my friend was getting married and made me wear one of those brown dresses, she wouldn't be my friend any more. They were fugly as hell.

A Symbol of Strength or Rusted Over: How Do You Feel About The Iron Lady, Ms. Thatcher?
So I'll be seeing "The Iron Lady" soon enough--first, because it looks like a good film, and second, for PoliSci, with my PoliSci friends, because, hey, I'll be seeing the Leonardo DiCaprio "The Great Gatsby" and the new "Romeo and Juliet" with my English Lit. friends this year and hoping for the best, this is just what I do--and it strikes me now...I know her more in the abstract than in detail, so, for those who DO really know her--great leader, or terrible misstep?

What other games do you enjoy?
I just taught my 7-year old to play poker, and he beat me at his first hand of hold 'em tonight. (He had pocket queens and slow-bet me until I went all in.)

Diplomacy software?
Does anyone know a Diplomacy software where you can validate if a specific move you're about to make in a game will succeed or not?

If one of you has the software, can you please post me the link here? Thanks!

I remember learning about the LRA while in college and thinking that these were especially dirty mofos. That being said I was largely surprised when I saw this campaign that is gaining momentum.

Springing Forward
Daylight Savings Time starts tonight for most of us in the United States, Canada, and several Caribbean island nations. This isn't the same date as for most other participating countries; consequently, this meant we all had to change our time zones manually when I last was on this site a few years ago.

Remember to Spring Forward if it applies to you, and remember to double-check your clocks on the webDiplomacy website after you do it.

My apologies to the players of "two?" gameID=82846
I'm writing to apologize to the players of game "two?" (http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=82846) for abandoning the game. An emergency came up and I had to leave. I understand me leaving threw the game off balance for everyone and for that I am sorry. I hope I get a chance to play you guys again in the future.

Sincerely,
-nnfolz (Germany)

United Auto Workers bailed out by Obama
Why did Americans who don't work at General Motors, about 99.9% of the population, waste hundreds of billions bailing out GM? Obama's dependence on union money of course. Our reward
Production of the Chevy Volt halted and 1,300 jobs lost.
