As the final round is getting underway, I am in need of 1-3 subs for games to get started. Is there anyone who would want to be on the sub list? Its only for 1 or 2 games (since some Round 7 games are also in the works)
Yes I found that rule. Clear enough but I have to echo taos's comment. What is the point of having a non anonymous Gunboat game? It seems bound by its very nature to encourage communication outside the boundaries of the game.
Also, I'm dating myself here, but I'd like to point out that Anon and Gunboat were not always options on this site. I used to play Gunboat strictly on the honor system when full press was still enabled. There were never any issues.
For a game about lying and stabbing, most Diplomacy players have a lot of honor.
i think you and i are saying the same thing if you make a gunboat it should be anonimous so players cant talk the option of creating it non-chat but players known is a mistake in this not perfect world full of cheaters
Or we can be diplomatic about it... Just like the movies, good always wins over evil. We all know what happens to spys, thieves and cheaters in the real world. Why fret, the rule is in place, some take advantage, some respect, those who take advantage may have short term gain, but their 'luck' will run out. I personally like to think most people in this community believe and play by the rules the mods deem neccessary.
Just got my ass handed to in two games ... now I need some feel good time. Who wants to play a 30 /anon/WTA with a 2 day turn time. I will be the one still getting to grips with the diploming. Desperately needing more experience. Post in to get the password.
So, I accidentally muted a thread... (mashed the mouse button getting up off the couch and the pointer happened to be directly over the 'mute thread' feature) How would I go about unmuting it as I think it was the thread I'm looking for (since I can't seem to find it anymore)?
Since this may turn into an annual "official" tournament, with rumors of me getting to distribute points to the top finishers, I'm going to go ahead and do that this year just for pretend, to warm up for next year's inviational. More inside.
