Brees. Rodgers. Brady. A quarterback's job, in a truly simply sense, is to get the team down the field to score points (in truth that is every offense player's job). When your QB can't even break past 215 TOTAL yards per game--yes to all of you full-of-hot-air Tebow lovers, that includes his "godly" running game--you have a problem. Also, Tebow's QB rating is an extremely low 87.9 compared to the other elite QB's: Brady, Brees, Rodgers. Brady has won two MVP's, both with him at around 114 Passer Rating. Brees had 110 in one year, 96 in the other for both of his MVP campaigns, but the season with a 96 Rating was one with over 5000 passing yards. Rodgers currently has a 125 PR.
While Passer Rating isn't the be-all end-all, it's a good metric, and for that combined with his perceived-but-not-really winning-ness came from, as said before, teams that should be beat easily and weren't. For those two alone, Tebow is not the answer to the MVP.
