For those of you who don't know what a MUD is, read wikipedia, just like you do for your homework.

The way it works is this: I'll start out by posing a short, one paragraph scenario. In it, certain words will be capitalized. Those are objects you can interact with, variables in the game, directions you can move, etc. You'll give me a set of instructions, and I'll then tell you what happens, where you are now, etc. I'll try to make it funny. You should too.

You awaken face down on a sandy beach. In the west, you can see the dim light of the sun setting over the ocean. Struggling to lift your head up, you spit the sand out of your mouth. Looking around, you see a BACKPACK nearby. There are also several ROCKS and SHELLS littering the beach. There are exits WEST and EAST.
