Hey Babak, come join this game. You said in our EOG last night that you are much better at full press than gunboat games - you have so many points and high ratings, I would really like to see play a full press game with you.

I don't think Babak plays live games. I would jump in, but I have plans in a bit.

hmm. That is a good question. Depending on when I get back tonight, I could try a game around 12 EST, but I'm not completely sure I'll be back. After that, it's going to be iffy for a while. It's hard for me to know when I have 4 hours in a row free to play a live game correctly.

Also, you get a star by your game when the pot gets big enough to put it in the top x percent of the games on the site. I'm not sure what x is, but I do know that if you get above 700 or so, the star pops up.

pw- I have played about half-a-dozen live press games in the past, but its a matter of timing more than anything else. but I will only play wta/anon live games...

I did try my hand at about 3 live gunboat games this week, got devoured as italy in the first one, and got two draws as England in the 2nd and 3rd (still lost points)... but my gunboat gaming is much weaker than my press game.

I just saw this thread for the first time. If you are still looking for players, I should be free tonight.

I know how you feel. I have a perfect record in gunboats here -- every one a loss!

@ pw - hahaha =P I really dont know its a matter of things not going at all as you expect.

I forgot I played a 4th gunboat... a PPSC no less!!! (AAAACK) I ended up surviving that with 2 centers but was just SUCH a silly game. reminded me why I hated ppsc.

I played a ppsc gunboat once . . . I forgot it was ppsc and couldn't figure out why France kept taking my centers instead of trying to stop the Russian solo.
