if you're moving on a coast with an army and there is a fleet adjacent to the begin place and the target you can choose between move via land or via convoy, my question: is there any way it could be better to convoy un such a situation where you can choose??
Has anyone else been having problems with convoys? This is the second turn now where the site keeps giving me ¨Parameter 'toTerrID' set to invalid value '39'.¨ The value changes with the territories, but it won´t let me save any convoy moves. What do I do?!
I've joined a couple of live games and looking for more people... http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=46669 http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=46668
I told several people that the leagues registrations would start last weekend but this being webDiplomacy I found myself compelled to lie. I will start the registrations NEXT weekend after the registrations for the Masters close because TrustMe said it would hurt his brain to have multiple registrations going simultaneously.
In-game, there is a colored banner below the game info and above your country. It almost looks like the country SC banner, but it is different. In all of my games, this banner is different. Does anyone know what this is, or even what I'm talking about?
Hi all Am I missing something on system requirements? When I set up a game or join a new game I just see a plain empty board with no icons, buttons, etc etc. Can't see any tech help/support on the site, so pointers would be appreciated. Using Firefox 3.6.13. Thanks
I'd appreciate it if people could reply, even if it's just to tell me that they're not interested. If not, and I need more players, I'm not afraid to harass using PM. Just ask Julien. You may also volunteer to be in if you really want to play me or somebody else here for some reason, but I'd like to give priority to the people I challenge if possible. Challenges: A. Players mentioned often in the forum whom I've never played Agent K (you were the most debated player on the forum when I came back. I want to experience your skills at Diplomacy and/or multi-ing for myself). TheGhostMaker B. Players who have kicked my butt before Crazyter Babak C. Others Ava2790 (I know you play mostly gunboats, but you were a pretty astute negotiator when I met you in the leagues.) charlesf (you started a good discussion on the forum, and you seemed to want somebody to prove to you that there are good games to be had here) damian (we had some good live game scraps a while back) mtidwell04 (you have 6 wins and 4 draws in 10 games. I want to see what you can do in an anon wta. I'd also like to think I can do better against you if I don't start a year behind and then have half the opposition drop out all of a sudden). baskineli (you say interesting things. I played you once I think, but I got stabbed early and never interacted much with you.)
haha... thats what you get for starting a thread between xmas and NYE ;)
peter, I try to keep my non-tournament games to above 500pts... but I may make an exception for this one... although I suspect my GR will take a hit.
I really cant start until around the 8th or 9th of Jan though. until then, I simply wont have the time. and I'd ask that we try to keep it above 150 pts.
Hi! i'm not really very known in the forum, but i'll want also a game where noone CD or did stupid things... A little bit of a high level game. I can have some 160+ points, due to my bad habit of joining thousand of low-bet games instead of one high-bet. I now i'm new, but take me into acount if you need a 7th filler. (BTW, my 2 CD were at live games that went on for more than 2,30 hours, you can check it(I was about to win in one of them, actually, but had to go))
GR is gosth rating, right? how can you chek that? And is it the greater the best, or the lower the best? I know how to play the game, but some sort of introduction to the other features of this page would be very useful :) I think you have a very interesting comunity here but i'm missing half the fun!
in this case, higher would be better. 100 is where you start, so your GR being less than 100 means that you've lost a net number of points since you started to play, which is surprising given your win rate.
ah! points!! i know why is so, then: i have like 12 games going on. I spent my points almost inmediatlely, so that's why i have less than 1 hundred. I actually have more than 3hundred, but they are in play.
Hey Peter thanks for sending me a PM I don't check the forum that often for threads. I'd certainly be interested in playing you again. If you send me a password I'd be happy to join up.
I'd be interested in playing a high(ish) stake game. I don't think I've ever played against a group of high-level players, though I've played with some of you in separate games.
We seem to be stuck at 6/7, and Babak says he's joined. If there's still a spot tomorrow evening, does anybody (preferably with 200+ GR points) want it?
I believe this is the game you were talking about in the other thread, am I correct? If so, let me publicly announce here what we discussed.
I am interested, but I'll need a pause as early as the 14th (for about a week). Peterwiggin prefers to find someone who can play rightaway, but if he can't find anyone, he has offered me the spot.
Am assuming this is the way we help ourselves to finding new players if we're new round here. Just want to test out controls as have never played online. Not very experienced Diplomacy player, but can hopefully manage. gameID=46515
Some games have a password, and I understand why. But if there's a game where a player has left, and I want to take over his NMR'd Power, how does one get in without the password?
I'm new to webDiplomacy, so I may be mistaken, but I saw something in the game I'm playing - my 1st on this site - that struck me as odd. The game is set to No in-game messaging, but one country supported the move of another's army to capture a province. How can this happen without outside communication, which the rules states you're not supposed to do? Any clarification would help. Thank you.
