Greetings. I recently got into a discussion with a friend about why Diplomacy (and many other strategy games, for that matter) are primarily played by men. I have yet to meet another female who actively plays this game other than myself, and would like to hear your thoughts on the subject. Men are welcome to post as well.
I don't think that real women could play this game, unless they were old, fat, or ugly.
Lesbians seem to be pretty good at this game. I could name about three of them off the top of my head, but I don't think that it's gentlemanly to draw attention to a disability. Despite the fact that they all seem to be high functioning, otherwise. ;0)
So k-p-e, which one are you? Old, fat, ugly and/or a lesbian?
It doesn't matter really, unless you're a lesbian. In which case I would not want to get on your bad side. If you're any, or all, of the other three, then you don't need ME to tell you how irrelevant you are.
I would never do that though, because I'm too much of a gentleman.
See, I was right about Maple have a tiny penis. I wouldn't have gotten a response from him if it didn't hurt his feelings. :D And I am none of those. So if we're going to go by your mindframe, then I am incredibly relevant, and what I say is true. Therefore, your manhood is lacking and you are a subhuman parasite (and a virgin on top of that).
The Diplomatically challenged/noob league is officially a go. However, we are still open to more players with less than 200 total points. If we don't get the desired membership by september we will open up to players with less than 300 .
The rules: Post your move in standard chess notation. You must wait at least three moves before posting again(ie: if you move as white, someone else has to move as white before you can move again). Illegal moves don't count; stupid ones do
Russia quits when they are the largest power on the board. Austria's a total moron who has completely ignored the growth of a huge Turkey in order to persist in attacking Italy, and England is getting gutted like a sea bass because he wants to attack France and Germany simultaneously, while they're attacking each other. Yecch, this game sucks.
Trying to set up a face to face game with friends but we don't have a board and we'll likly have a hard time finding on. Is there a way to use a web site as the board? A way to have on admin input all the moves and have it play out?
Is there a website that will allow me have one person (an admin) to input all the nations moves and let it play out? That way I don't have to buy a board game and we don't have to deal with peaces getting moved. Anyother way to use a computer to manage a face to face game?
I've tried three gunboat games today, all of which have been spoiled by no-shows and cds. Frankly, I find it ridiculous that 3 games be ruined this way. If anyone is interested in doing it properly, I will create a 50 point buy-in game scheduled to start in 30 minutes. If you join, show up.
