Now that nominations are in, it is time to decide who really was the greatest person form all of History. Will Ghengis Khan rise to conquer the bracket? Will Tolkien or the Beatles be the first Nominees to win two tournaments? Will Aristotle be proved wrong in his prediction that he will win? Or will a Wild Card take the whole tournament? Only one way to find out.
In the same vein as the "Greatest Author" and "Greatest Musician" tournaments, we should also do the Greatest Mod to rank the great and not-so-great leadership that this site has seen. Nominees are listed below.
Greatest People in History Tournament - now with Instant Runoff Voting!
In an effort to determine the forum's ultimate winners for this contest in a reasonable amount of time, this thread will utilize IRV (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant-runoff_voting) to determine the champions in each category.
Is there a way to have a new game start without all the player slots filled? I have had several games canceled because every slot has not been filled. Over the upcoming vacation, I would like to start a game, possibly a World Diplomacy variant, for many players, but I can not count on filling every country. Any ideas here?
So, it's 3 A.M where I am. So this may not be a great idea. But why don't we write a bunch of fictional stories starring our current membere and those who have left, honorably or dishorably. Any ideas?
So Sony is pulling this movie, in the face of massive damage, terrorist threats, and theater chains pulling out. I imagine the movie sucks, but I think this is a terrible outcome. Speech has been suppressed by sheer intimidation. Thoughts?
