no no. please do not misunderstand. i just want other's view on this game. thats all. im not saying anyone IS cheating, but simply asking for people's advice.

and by no means am i saying they are multis. i think they know who each other are and are communicating via PM to coordinate moves. that's all

Either way, email the mods. Exposing the game to the peanut gallery is bound to get you answers that shouldn't be given in an ongoing game.

It's such a shame that I won a multi....really it is.

I still don't see cheating. I saw two people who fought back in 1902 and realized that Russia was the threat.

As to their games together, I looked at a few, didn't see any funny-business. And many of them are live gunboat games - there are only a limited number of people per time zones that play those.

Idealist, not only should you not have posted this during the game, as I said really early on in the thread, yet you kept going anyway, but I think you are wrong in this case, or at least don't have near enough evidence to publicly accuse someone.

idealist - AMAZING coordination between Germany and England. I'm not saying they're cheating...but I'm not saying the moon is made out of cheese, either. The sad thing is that they are either 1. Cheating, and STILL didn't accomplish nearly what they could have together, or 2. uh....Germany is just the most generous supporter of enemy attacks ever. The excuse "oh, Russia was the enemy" thing so - WITHOUT TALKING - Germany decided that supporting England was the best move is just stupid and naive.

For all you chumps that can't stand a cheating accusation (whether or not it is allowed) it's the internet for crying out loud, and it's full of kids in...gasp!...dorm rooms, side by side, with computers...

What is WTA?

Winner Take All. As in, if someone wins, they get all the points and everyone else gets NOTHING. It is the proper way to play. PPSC encourages people helping others to get a strong second place. Note that in WTA, most games end in draws so it isn't more of a risk than PPSC.

Ideaslist, you were essentially saying 'i think this looks like cheating. What do you think?'. It's an accusation. And for anoyone who views any kind of coordination in gunboat as cheating, you just aren't very good at gunboat. And yea it's the internet and people get accused all the time. But the people who run this site have asked us to refrain from public accusations, especially during ongoing games.

I think what he's saying is that mods should investigate fake threads created for the sole purpose of cheating the anonymous gunboat rules by inviting messages from the other players.

I applaud that effort.

@ Acosmist: If, indeed, that's what he is saying, then I agree. But I don't see how you could be sure of that at all, from his one-line post. I certainly agree that the mods should investigate people posting on the forum to get around no-press rules in games.
