Well it's anonymous and there's no in-game messaging, so no way for mods to notice that you managed to plan your moves with someone without speaking to them. Plus, the pot is as high as you can get while still being able to use freshly-created accounts.

Well if people have well coordinated moves, they are probably multis, that actually seems a lot easier to tell then in a regular anonymous game, where you think Russia and Turkey are making plans together but are actually the same person.

I am insulted here. Shino, you can not openly insult every other player on this site for wanting to play a fast game. Just because we pay 5 Diplomacy points to play a game does not make us gay. Also, you say men are gay is if it were insulting. I am not saying that I PREFER gay men or women, but I am saying that you cannot use gay as an insult turn. You also try to use ladies as an insult in your latest post, there happens to be women on this site playing that I know for a fact so don't try and assume only men play on this site. If you want to play these top players then I have two suggestions for you: 1. Get better 2. Once number one is accomplished join one of the annual tournaments to play these top players. Lesson taught.

Gay (as used by Shino at least) has become equivalent to the word lame. Words change, and this is one that now has more then one meaning. Just like the original meaning of gay was 'happy/merry.'
So when people say that somethings 'gay' they don't mean homosexual or merry, but rather lame. :)

As opposed as I am to the use of the term gay as a dysphemism, it is a legitimate verbal evolution. Moron, for example, was created only in the 20th century as a medical term to describe someone with a certain mental intelligence. So he can use gay as an insult term, but I personally feel he shouldn't.

Why would I have to look anything up for what I just said? If I had looked it up, I'd have the exact mental age range for you. Actually, that sounds like a good idea. OED time: According to the OED, it refers to someone with an IQ between 50 and 75, and the term was first adopted and given this meaning by the American Association for the Study of the Feeble-minded in 1910.
