I have a problem with my computer. Help?
I have a game i was trying to uninstall. Well it would'nt let me uninstall. Not know much about computers i figured if i deleted all the files of the game it would be off my hardrive and i could reinstall it. Well i deleted the uninstall option.I cant even find a trace of the game. When i put the game in my computer it wont let me play (because i deleted all the files), and won't let me uninstall because i deleted that too. does anyone know how to get it off my computer?

Obiwanobiwan does NOTE HATE GERMANS!!!
I am of that line being taken out of context, especially as my family is FROM GErmany, I merely said there is somewhat for some people of a negative stereotype for Germans being Nazis or all ruthless or whatever following the Wars, I said it was negative, I don't hold the view- so STOP CALING ME A RACIST! (I don't like being accused of something I'm not!)

Developing a Variant- Place names wanted!
Figle and I have been working on a variant on diplomacy for about a month now. Its a pure fantasy map designed to try to make the gameplay good, and as a consequence, we need to come up with some names for provinces. See inside...

Anyone up for making a World Game Happen?
http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=26164

I know a few folks have expressed a desire for this. It's fun playing the regular board, but this could be epic-- plus, we won't have all the same old strategies to rely on. A real hootenanny.

UK Elections- Predictions
Shall we have a competition to guess the election result(in seats or as a %?)
Cthulhu will win! Why would the people choose a lesser evil?
TheGhostmaker (1545 D)
08 Apr 10 UTC
C/L/Lib 42/28/18 with a turn out of about 65%

I think we'll see the green vote dip below 1%, and the UKIP vote increase slightly too. John Bercow's seat is going to be interesting.
zarat (896 D)

Given the candidates, maybe Cthulhu would be the lesser evil...

Con 38/ Lab 30/ LD 21. Turnout up. Lots of tactical voting and non-consistent swings. SNP up in Scotland, Plaid in Wales. No idea in NI, but it won't make much difference. Conservatives largest party, but short of an overall majority, by around 20.

Greens to get 1 MP (Brighton). UKIP 0. BNP 0.

All predictions wrong, or your money back
Jamiet99uk (1307 D)

I predict a hung parliament, from which a Conservative-Lib Dem government will emerge.

It will be horrible.

Also, the BNP vote will increase, mostly at the expense of Conservative votes in safe Labour seats, but they will not return any MPs. There will also be moderate gains for the SNP and Plaid Cmwru, mostly at the expense of Labour.

Labor for a marginal shock win, to form government with LD.
Octavious (2802 D)

There will be an extremely close looking election race, the exit polls will predict a hung parliament and the Lib Dems along with the Welsh and Scots Nationalists will get thoroughly over excited... And at the end of it all the Conservatives will have won with a healthy majority.
cgwhite32 (1465 D)

Conservative 41
Labour 32
Lib Dem 20
Others 7

Conservative majority of approx 20...I hope.

@cgwhite - what percentage of public sector workers do you think will vote for a pay freeze?

I foresee a crisis looming whatever the result. Either there will be a hung parliment or the tories will secure a working majority with under 40% of the popular vote.

I don't think a hung/balanced parliment is inherantly bad, but dealing with debt whilst having to buy of Plaid and/or SNP will be a challange.

A conservative majority with under 40% will lack legitimacy and will lead to public sector strikes. The workers will perceive themselves to be taking wage cuts whilst the bankers are bailed out.

Whilst I have supported the Labour Party for as long as I can remember, and I think my local candidate will be successful, I hope that if the tories win that they win decisively rather than maginally.

I am looking forward to the campaign, there are always twists and turns that can make it a very exciting time.

@Octavious - the words 'healthy' and 'Conservative majority' don't go together :)

I agree the polls won't call the result correctly - the local swings are going to be much bigger in some cases. I suspect (hope) that the LibDems will do better than last time. I'm personally amazed that the Tories don't have in the bag, given the Brown 'Premiership' and now the economy appears to be picking up, things might stay close.

@Maniac - Do you think it's impossible for the Tories & LibDems to work together? Everyone assumes that Lib/Lab is the 'natural' marriage, but if Cons were the biggest party, why shouldn't Clegg work with Cameron. PM Dave with Vince as chancellor?

"@cgwhite - what percentage of public sector workers do you think will vote for a pay freeze?"

Well, Thatcher was voted in without support from the unions.

The odds of Osborne being ousted from chancellor by Cameron are really, really slight.

@TGM - You're right. I was trying to imagine how a Con/Lib coalition would work, and as Osborne doesn't fill me with any confidence....
Maniac (189 D(B))

@Ghost - I accept that Maggie was voted in at a time when unions were stronger and she had little support within the movement. But not all workers are unionised and some of those that are could still vote tory on the balance of their policies. for example they may care about workers' rights but not as much as the loss of sovereignty so they would vote Tory. However, I suspect that a lot of people who may support the Tory policies on things like the NHS; immigration; law and order and even the economy; may well vote Labour because the Tories are threatening to freeze their pay. Turkeys will never vote for xmas, however wonderful that xmas would be.
Maniac (189 D(B))

@Pete - I don't think it is impossible for the Libdems to work with the Tories and I note that Nick Clegg has left himself plenty of wriggle room o that he could jump either way in most eventuallites. But would the SNP and Plaid work so easily with the Tories? They have been demanding increased budgets in return for their support, that won't be easy for Dave to accommodate.
Pete U (293 D)

@ Maniac

I can see the SNP doing it becuase they really really don't get on with Labour at the moment. I suspect that has something to do with actually implementing left-wing policies on tuition fees, social care etc. On the flip side, the Tories are hated in Scotland, so getting into bed with them would not go down well. I can't see any primarily English Tory governemnt increasing funding to the Scots - there is already a degree of resentment about the perceived overfunding, and, as you say, now is not the time to be asking for more money.

Plaid i know less about, but I presume their working relationship with Labour in the WA, and the general left-wingness of the Celts would preclude that for similar reasons.

Although if cgwhite and Octavius are right, this is all meaningless waffle, as DC will have some sort of majority. And we mustn't forget the Ulster Unionists in all this...

@ "Well, Thatcher was voted in without support from the unions."

Ugh, Thatcher. The most evil leader Britain has had in modern times. Yes, evil - that's what I said, and I mean it. She deliberately created mass unemployment for thousands upon thousands of people, decimating working class communities across the nation. The terrible effects of Thatcherite misrule are still being felt where I live in the North-East of England. She actually believed, and argued, that society did not exist.

I can't wait for her to die so I can piss on her grave.

I have a 'resigned: 1' in my game stats (please don't laugh if you check them). No big deal. However, I don't know why since I don't even know how to resign. Elucidation?
