It is important, when asking your fellow players, to specify exactly how long you want the game paused for. I.e. "I'm going to be out of town Fri-Sun and will unpause Monday morning."

Often what happens is another player disappears or decides they don't want to unpause because they are asses or whatever. If the pause timeframe is clearly stated then a mod could potentially unpause the game after the game is well past when it should have restarted. If the pause timeframe is not stated then the mods probably won't unpause it because they can't tell how long it was supposed to be for.
