Apologies in advance for rasing the subject of religion once again, but as I find myself amongst a group of intelligent people who have given serious thought to questions of this nature I can't stop myself from asking a question that's been bugging me for some time. Let us assume for a moment there is indeed a God who created the universe and continues to exist. What is the reason for us to worship Him? His universe seems to continue on in much the same way whether He is worshiped or not.
This is by far the best England I have seen. He screws up his first year and then I decide to attack him and he holds on the entire game and even manages to beat me back a notch. Really top notch playing
Hi i am a first timer at this amazing game and i have just started out as France would anybody have any useful tactics that would give me a beneficial boost in the game as i not too sure where or who to attack first.
Ghana has left the game in an ongoing world map. His position is currently not the strongest, but the buy-in is pretty cheap right now: http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=20858 If you are interested, please join up.
Alright, then, I wanted to talk some baseball, but everyone seems to be shooting that down... and I've always wanted to know what that OTHER bat-and-ball sport is like. Certainly it can never be as great as baseball? Or is it? Better? Worse? Who likes what/ How is Cricket even played? ;) Americans, Latins, and Asians take the field against the English, Indians, and Empires... It's Baseball vs. Cricket- culturally and fun factor, which is best?
We've got people from all over the world on this site, and while there are a number of games played in other languages, the vast majority are played in English. Anyone run into amusing or interesting situations as a result of miscommunication or linguistic confusion?

Hamlet - the man himself. Did you see the David Tennant version? I'm not sure I liked the switching between different time periods but was pleasantly surprised by Tennant's performance.
I've been hoping to finally be able to answer one of these ..... I had to look this one up in a very old diary - I used to have it written on a notice board in my room many, many years ago !
"Group W is where they put you if you may not be moral enough to join the army after committing your special crime. There was all kinds of mean, nasty ugly-looking people on the bench there. There was mother rapers... father stabbers... father rapers."
"I never got to say goodbye to my father. There's questions I would've asked him. I would've asked him how he felt about what his company did, if he was conflicted, if he ever had doubts. Or maybe he was every inch of man we remember from the newsreels. I saw young Americans killed by the very weapons I created to defend them and protect them. And I saw that I had become part of a system that is comfortable with zero-accountability."
Iron Man (#2 coming out soon!) ----------------------------------- "Anybody who ever built an empire, or changed the world, sat where you are now. And it's *because* they sat there that they were able to do it."
@LJ, nope, it's escape from New York, and as for lonewolf: It's one of the Halloween movies, I think Curse of Myers. I actually watch all of the originals every Halloween now that I'm too old to go Candy grubbing. Does it count when I'm not sure?
