I cannot dedicate all the time I have to webdiplomacy anymore. I am glad to finish any games I am in right now but would like a replacement for the leauge games I am in. I will play in the world cup but for the forseeable future that is my last game at least for a while.

I have less free time in my life now (which is a good thing: more money), so I'm going to stop playing Diplomacy online, at least for a while. But I had a great time here, and I'm grateful to all of you, especially my opponents in games, the fellows in the interesting discussion threads, and of course Kestas for making this all possible.
I've been asked to advertise following game on behalf of some players in it. Turkey and France in civil disorder both with all their own supply centres. He who dares.....
I've seen board where each member has a 'Exalt/Smite' button that raises and lowers their karma. A simpler, less intrusive way for people to tell the community how they feel about a certain member. May be easier that the full-blown reports.
Oh come on pi r. This is your second map complaint! In real life Bristol is in England, yet in the diplomacy map its called Wales. In real life Poland existed. In real life Spain had an army I could go on...
If the game had two sides, it would be interesting to have a new player come in on the side of the loser after a certain number of years of play. It'd be hell to implement and hard to get players to join in, but wouldn't it be fun? Might even be worth it to purposefully do poorly for a bit if the game were really close just to get the extra ally.
I know it exists. But its true function isn't represented on the map, where it seems to have been added for another purpose. Interestingly, Wikipedia claims the canal would have been referred to as the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Kanal during the era.
Well he can ask if he wants, but it will just get a sarcastic response :P I was wondering how the Icelandic people feel knowing they're deemed just part of a minor Scottish territory and can't even be visited.
Because clearly you haven't got enough support for it :P Try using more units in future, by setting a multiple route convoy utilising the units in Spain, Portugal, Gascony and Marseilles. Once you've done that it's trivial ;)
It's kind of odd by not completely weird. More anomalous is the Helgoland Bight (awesome name for a body of water, however) and the weird shape of the Irish sea, at least on webdip's maps.

Six Bonds enter. The martinis are being shaken (not stirred) as all six Bonds sit down to a nice game of poker, each checking their Q-approved watch before they start. Each Bond has all the gadgets HE ever used at HIS disposal (so no rocket packs for Dalton and no vanishing cars for Craig.) But there are 22 new Bond girls... what happens, and which 007 gets to heaven tonight? ;)
I'm up late writing stories for my creative writing class, here's one I particularly like, mostly because I'm intentionally doing things to create an effect, not that my teacher ever taught us any of these but still. Anyways I hope no one is offended by "Nigger, Negro, or Jap" I was trying to capture a little bit the time period. its not to fleshed out because its not supposed to be.
