I just ended a game that was taking most of my attention, while the leagues games are paused, so I want to start a new one with relatively short phases, 18 hours.

Rules:

Can't be in the leagues with me, this season or the previous (nothing personal folks, just too many games already with you)

18 hours so that it moves rather quick, please finalize builds and retreats (It's OK if you seldom can't, but try)

WTA, 50 points to enter. A nice pot on the line, but nothing that will cause a 7-way draw out of caution.

Well, I felt like you before, but after playing the leagues, it grew on me, the excitment is much higer, and the diplomating options widen.

I'll get there sooner or later :) Probably when i have less games running... I only ever want 2-3 tops - but then they get paused, and i get bored lol

i'd love to play with you again xapi, it's always a pleasure. and with so many of my games paused, it's super appealing. but i am not joining any new games until next week, if i can manage to resist temptation.

next week I should have at least 50 points.

@Xapi - I agree. After my league experience, I found that I was easily slipping into the mode of being nice and taking a second place. As you and DJ can attest, I fight tooth and nail to prevent the win now that I play WTA mostly. (I enjoy a relxaing PPSC game occasionally)

I'm going on vacation in 2 weeks. I'll be able to keep playing, but I need longer phases. I don't want to get into something and then start NMRing as I get near the end.

I'm down to 6 games (5 active) but 4 are league games, so when I knock a couple more off my list I'll join another long-term game.

No more live for me a while. I'm going to get into trouble at work :-)

Sounds tempting. An 18 hour phase game would be cool since I have a few games that are looong... Would like to play against djbent one day too. Can wait until next week.

unfortunately i was press-ganged into a game with jbalcorn, xapi, and some other unsavory characters. so i'm not sure if i will start a new game next week. but let's keep an eye out for each other texas and we can play again some day. we were in a live game together once, right? or a "quickly finalizing" one?

I don't believe we have played any games together djbent which is why I look forward to playing you one day. Let me know when you're ready to join a new game and keep me in mind. I haven't actually played in any live games yet. My time zone doesn't really help and my 15 month old son my gets in the way of my late nights, but maybe one day when I have a spare few hours I'll stock up on beer and join 1. They sound fun.

yes, we played together in "league practice" which was a game that was supposed to be "quick finalizing" but since you were out of sync timezone wise, we all killed you off quickly. came back to haunt me as i got squished between england and turkey!!!
