Sorry i had to share this
following post is from a ambulance dispatcher blog i read

On a lighter note, a call one of my colleagues took recently:

Caller: I’ve got a chilli in my vagina!
Call taker: Um. Okay. What’s the address we’re coming to?
Caller: No… I just wanted some advice.
We’re not actually allowed to give advice over the phone but on this occasion my colleague thought this was less like advice and more like Stating The Bleeding Obvious…
Call taker: Well, my advice is to take the chilli out of your vagina. And some more good advice is not to put chillis in your vagina. They are far better in curries.
Caller: Thank you!
Call taker: (firing up the psychiatric card just in case) Are you sure you don’t need an ambulance?

my grandfather used to drive an ambulance night crew when he was 16 and his two "assistants" were in their 30's(all they really did was carry the cots)

one of his funnier stories was of this hobo that kept getting picked on by another hobo. my grandfather was called twice in one week to pick him up after getting stabbed by the other guy. on the way to the hospital he first time they didnt say much to eachother but the second time the guy was going on and on about how was gonna learn a lesson the next time he tried to mess with him.

the very next week my grandfather was called to the same area except this time to pick up the guy who had be doing the stabbing...the only thing was that he was dead. apparently the first hobo had learned some self-defense moves and had taken the knife from the guy and stabbed him back only this time he did it "right" by accidentally hitting an artery.

ok well how about the time when he was training a guy who was in his 20's on his first day and the first call they had was to pick up a person who had died at the scene and take them to the hospital. on the way to the hospital they had to stop at a red light and my grandfather thought it would be funny to try and spook the guy so while he wasnt looking my grandfather reached from behind him and put his hand on the guy's shoulder. The guy freaked out, jumped out of the ambulance, and proceeded to walk the remaining 4 miles back to the hospital despite pleas from my grandfather(who drove next to him for about a half a mile) to get back in and that it only a joke.

Your grandfather is/was oneof the greatest people I've ever heard of. Or at least, he seems to have the best stories.
WhiteSammy (100 D)
22 Apr 09 UTC
and the thing about the first story was that the first guy didnt fight back the first two times and the third time he was attacked all he wanted to do was make the guy stop by showing him that he wasnt going to take the abuse. he only happened to accidentally kill his aggressor
Onar (131 D)
22 Apr 09 UTC
D you know if he got in any legal trouble?
WhiteSammy (100 D)
22 Apr 09 UTC
he and his buddy worked the night crews for their town when they were only 16 and 17(respectively) and both of them were in charge of older men.

my grandfather even drove the city ambulance to the DMV to get his lisence. when he was asked to parallel park the vehicle had said that it wasnt possible because the mirrors dont show the back well enough. Confused, the instructor asked him what he planned on doing if he needed to parrallel park so my grandfather did just that. he overshot the parking spot and then just backed up over the curb with the front end of the ambulance sticking out into the street.
WhiteSammy (100 D)

well once the police cheif got mad because the ambulance is only supposed to go 15 miles over the speed limit in case of emergency and he complain to my grandfather's boss who told him that he needed to slow down(usually they just held the peddal all the way to the floor so they would go about 80-90). the very next call my grandfather drove only 15 miles over and the police cheif got pissy because he drove "too slow". the cheif got even more mad at the fact that my grandfather responded with the smartass "but you told me to" so he got im my grandfather's face and said "son, when i tell you to get here you damn well make sure that you get your ass here".

thats really the only the only "legal trouble" that he got into
Onar (131 D)
22 Apr 09 UTC
I meant the hobo in your other story. The one that defended himself. Did he get in any trouble?
WhiteSammy (100 D)
22 Apr 09 UTC
no the police ruled it self-defense

How do I find my friend?
I have a few RL friends on this site who joined after I spent all my points. As a result, they are not in any of my games, nor do they seem to post on the forums. I know their names, but I can't find their profiles. How do I find them?

Sun/Oracle merger
My mind is blown; this totally came out of nowhere for me. Now Oracle owns all MySQL and InnoDB (the database system phpDip, and most sites across the world) run on, as well as Java, plus Oracle owns BDB too, some very smart (and scary) acquisitions.
The two companies couldn't be more differently run, and now I have no idea what direction they'll go in

Any tech followers got an opinion on this pretty big news?

A question about Support
A holds - B support Holds A - C support Holds B
A is attacked with support - B is attacked solo
will A-B-C hold or will A be taken?
Hopefully someone can make sense of that, if not I'll find some countries for an example.

@Kestasjk and developers
Kestasjk,

I was under the impression that a person who went CD in a game could not, through coding, pick up another CD country in the same game. Could you clarify this please.

Is this allowed?
My friends and I are playing a live game. Our 7th player dropped out. So we have one account playing as Italy that I log onto to hold every round.

I don't want to get banned for multi-accounting. I promise you we just want to play a game!

Supporting a convoying fleet
If, say, a Russian fleet is convoying an army, can it be supported, or could two opposing English fleets eject it and disrupt the convoy even if a second Russian fleet was supporting the first?

Thanks in advance!!

Another bounce question
Suppose my enemy is bouncing london and norway into the north sea. I have a fleet in holland and sweden. Can I support norway to north sea and force him to take north sea over his london unit, and I waltz in norway from sweden freely?

One person playing multiple powers in the same game
In a tight game at a critical juncture of the game, right after moving units, a new person arises to take over a country in CD with two units about to be destroyed. This new person became a member just AFTER the resolution of the Spring moves, and is in a position to do nothing except to be a spoiler favoring the alliance opposing ours.

The convoy from London -> Holland should have worked. But failed.
Is there a bug in the program?
