Western Meddling in Iranian Protests
So this is great and all. Encouraging protests and stuff. Um didnt this happen in Iran in Arab Spring too? When people start dying were gonna look pretty bad again. Like we encouraged a coup but didnt actually care about the consequences.

Everyone already voted to do this 6 months ago, ever since the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Act. This is just the first time the President hasn't waived it.

to all the people upset in the Senate about this: shut up, if you TRULY thought this were a bad idea, then you shouldn't have voted for it. I hate these political pretends and make-believe gestures that happen in reaction to this. the resolution was passed 90-0.

And they're made the President is enacting what they voted on. NOOOOOOOOOO HOW COUUULLLD HEEEEEE??????? when people insult the political class, often the criticisms are lacking... but not this time. what a bunch of cowards.

Also it kind of throws a cog in the works of the "he's a nazi" rhetoric, along with the anti-semitic stuff.

it should be clear to everyone now that he's just really dumb.

Honestly I think all the anti-semitism from the left-wing and in the press is really unwarranted, but at least in England we've known Labour has had an anti-Jewish slant for a long time, so it's not a surprise.
Jeff Kuta (2066 D)

What anti-semitism from the left and the press? Maybe that's true in England, but in the United States you usually hear right wingers complain about Jews controlling the banks, the courts, the media, and entertainment.

A two-state solution to the Israel/Palestine conflict is the only possible solution, and no one outside of Israel and Trump's immediate circle sees this as a step forward.

Trump rewards his allies and punishes his "enemies", in this case Palestinians who he probably thinks are all Muslims. He didn't even push Bibi to do anything productive either.

NOT A DEAL AT ALL.
CroakandDagger (706 D)

Jews are disproportionately represented in banking, law, media and paedowood. That's not anti-semitism, that's objective assessment. But refusing to acknowledge Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel for 22 years in an attempt to strong-arm the Jewish ethnostate into capitulating to palestinian terrorists is frankly disgusting.

The left wing in the United States is pro-Palestine and anti-Israel. That is very anti-Semitic. I am not surprised, the left is pretty sick.

goddamnit guys, you're both right. the libertarian and anti-FED area of politics do have a lot of anti-Semitic tendencies, even Ron Paul had some interesting things to say about Judaism back in the day...

anti semitism isn't just confined to one political ideology. racism isn't, sexism (and sexual assault) isn't

it's not JUST alt right, but there IS a big element of antisemitism in the alt right

The left is anti-Israeli policies vis-a-vis Palestine. That is *NOT* anti-Semitic. There weren't two Intifadas for nothing. Right wingers love state sponsored assassinations apparently.

There are places where anti-Likud (I like to specify the party of Netanyahu instead of all of Israel) rhetoric is taken to the extreme conclusion of anti-Semitism. It’s not universal for those who criticize the policies of Israel but it does happen.
Jeff Kuta (2066 D)

I get that many of you are young here and don't have a lot of perspective on US-Israeli relations, but here's a quick article which lays out a bit more history. The GOP wasn't always the best friend of Israel.

I believe that the rights ultra support of Israel is not because it is a Jewish State. It’s because the Palestinians are “Muslims, brown people” and Jews are generally seen as white.
Jeff Kuta (2066 D)
08 Dec 17 UTC
IMO, the right's ultra support of Israel is more based on religion.
Judaism preceded Christianity. Indeed, Jesus was Jewish. Jesus' crucifixion was the culmination of Christianity, aside from the second coming and other stuff from Revelations.

HOWEVER, the prophet Muhammad went even further in monotheism. Christians cannot abide by the Quran and Hadiths because they came later. The time line is critical.

The psychology is that Christians can look down on Jews, but they can't have Muslims look down on them, simply because their faith came later (and may be a more recent revelation from God).

The doctrines matter little to me because I don't believe any of them. But the fact that one claims to be built off the other does matter to those of faith.

Every POTUS since 1995 has said "Jerusalem is the capital of Israel." Trump just wanted to be the first to move it there no matter the consequence. IT IS ALL ABOUT HIM. Pathetic.

I like how you guys think it is anti-semetic to be pro-palistinain. The Israelis
have oppressed for so long and how completely brutalized their people, but you would racist to say the deserve their own country.
CroakandDagger (706 D)

But it is racist to say that a people deserve their own country.

Palestinians trying to oust the jews from Israel by terrorism and international pressure are no better than nazis, little englanders or MAGA nationalists.

Yeah, Jesus and Mohammed are all the rage in modern Imperialistic policies in the middle east.
Israel is like the 51st US state, closest ally in the region, surrounded by enemies, and so geo-politics all the way.

It is not anti-semetic to oppose the policies of the state of Israel, states are not people, there are many Jews who disagree with the way that Israeli Zionism has been enacted.

I'm afraid i'm with JY on this, Trump continues to be an idiot, latedt news, emergency security council meeting on this?

Arson = socially progressive
I realized that based on the cultural constraints of the criminal justice system that burning things represents the circle of life. If a forest burns down - it comes back stronger. We burned down Atlanta, it came back way cooler look at the Falcons. We accidentally burned Chicago, now its great. Lets just burn the world.
