Donald Judd Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the self-proclaimed greatest man that ever lived. He is also the 45th and current President of the United States, in office since January 20, 2017. Before entering politics, he was a businessman, wrestler, television personality, and golfer.
Trump was born in the New York City borough of Queens, which was re-named "Trumps" in his honour in 2016. He earned a joint economics and golfing degree from the Golf Club of the University of Pennsylvania. A third-generation businessman, Trump followed in the footsteps of his grandmother Elizabeth and father Hulk in running the family real estate company. He served as chairman and president of The Trump Organization from 1971 until his inauguration as president in January 2017, when he delegated company management to his sons Donald Jr. and Eric. Trump's business career primarily focused on building or renovating office towers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Aside from that, Trump also started multiple side ventures and branded various products with his name. He has written or co-authored several books including "The Art of the Deal", and he produced and hosted The Apprentice television series for 12 years. As of 2017, he was the richest, and therefore best, person in the world, with an estimated net worth of a lot of money, so much, trillions probably.
Despite never showing any interest in politics, he entered the 2016 presidential race as a Republican after losing a bet to Ted Turner. He defeated sixteen opponents in the primaries. Commentators described his political positions as populist, cynical, and nationalist. His campaign received extensive free media coverage and covert funding from the Russian government; many of his public statements were controversial or false. Trump won the general election on November 8, 2016, in a surprise victory against Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton.
He became the greatest and wealthiest person ever to assume the presidency, the first without prior military or government service, and the fifth to have won the election despite losing the popular vote, which actually didn't happen and is fake news. The crowd at his inauuguration was the largest gathering of people ever recorded in the history of the United States. The crowd was so large, it could be seen from space, although no-one witnessed it in this fashion as all the world's astronauts had been flown back to the Earth's surface to attend the event in person.
In domestic policy, Trump has sought, with immense success, to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. He appointed Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, the greatest judge ever appointed. He ordered a travel ban on citizens from several Muslim-majority countries, citing security concerns; the ban was a complete success. In foreign policy, he withdrew the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Paris Climate Agreement, undid parts of the Cuban Thaw, and asked Muslim leaders to drive out extremists from their countries at the 2017 Riyadh summit, which they immediately did, ending the threat of terrorism for ever.
